It’s not about how much space the worlds population takes up, it’s about how many resources it take to sustain said ppl. It’s about the damage that many ppl can do to the earth. Think a little more critically.

We are under populated by some and overpopulated by others.

It’s simple math. Divide how many habitable square feet on earth by how many people alive. Hint: we can all fit very comfortably in the state of Texas. People who believe this honestly cannot think.

Not taking into account, of course, the amount of land required to provide food, shelter, factories, sewage, trash, pollution, recreation, and so on.

This argument is often used to support mass immigration into the US and European countries. I don't think the world would benefit from having billions more Africans.

The only people who really believe we are overpopulated also choose to live in huge cities where everyone crowds into a small space and lives on top of each other.
