@cormachayden_ Looks good, but onboarding is more than visuals. It's about the first few actions a user takes. Those matter most.

@cormachayden_ I mean of course, but this is good of using visual examples to explain the product

@cormachayden_ Yeah… visuals make it click much faster.

@cormachayden_ only one option for the paywall is very interesting, i haven't seen that been done prior

@Jahjiren @cormachayden_ I think that me neither

@cormachayden_ 47.99 annual is a very odd number too

@Jahjiren @cormachayden_ Maybe because is some weird conversion from euros since that’s my default currency

@cormachayden_ ah could be true,. i'll check how much it comes out to be for me

@cormachayden_ Newbie here, genuine question. I don’t understand why it’s wise to ask for a review during onboarding. Why does it work?

@cormachayden_ I find ridiculous this thing of asking users to rate a product they haven’t even used. Just doesn’t make any sense to me. But I know many popular apps do this so perhaps I need to reflect more on it too

@cormachayden_ Asking for a review during onboarding is wild to me. You haven't delivered value yet, so what exactly are they reviewing?

@cormachayden_ Do you think every new spp should start like this or it should come once the apps shows some traction?

@cormachayden_ Start like in what sense?

@cormachayden_ If I launch a new app, should it come in v1 like this or that is more like v10?

@cormachayden_ But what do you mean like this? Design wise, this onboarding, 1 subscription?

@cormachayden_ The full onboarding, it is a very detailed flow

@cormachayden_ I think prioritizing the onboarding early on is the best idea, but specifically when you are starting getting users

@cormachayden_ That makes sense 👍

@cormachayden_ whats the pros of yearly payment over monthly?

@cormachayden_ Less churn and you get a higher payment instantly

@cormachayden_ but arent ppl less willing to subscribe yearly knowing that even if they cancel later it wont do any good

@cormachayden_ i was looking at this app the other day im so autsitic with ingredients i basicaly just avoid any non whole foods now, its just way easier, literally everyhting has so much bad stuff inside it

@cormachayden_ Lol I want start using it but I’m scared I get crazy obsessed

@cormachayden_ love the minimal vibe, makes me wanna download it now

@cormachayden_ its not always about nice ui or onboarding its about the problem you solving

@cormachayden_ spent 6 months building an onboarding for my first app / 7 screens, 3 personalisation steps, progress bar / first real user session: they tapped through everything without reading it / the oasis paywall approach would have saved me a quarter of a year

@cormachayden_ As a developer, it might be a good idea because it looks great. As a user, I detest time lost in fancy cards.

@cormachayden_ I think onboarding is over rated if onboarding takes more than 20 seconds I’m deleting the app

@cormachayden_ The asking for a review on onboarding thing seems so strange to me, why would anybody review an app before they have used it. But aye I guess its a cheeky way to quickly showcase that the app has lots of good reviews and maybe get some people to accidentally open and review

@cormachayden_ Also smart to ask for a review mid-onboarding, right after a win. That timing matters.

@cormachayden_ Do people really leave a review before using the app?

@cormachayden_ Never understood how asking for review mid onboarding could be a good thing. User didn’t even get to try the product yet. Wouldn’t this more than likely to backfire?

@cormachayden_ one subscription option is underrated. most founders offer 3 plans thinking more choice means more conversions but it usually just creates decision paralysis. one clear option with a free trial removes friction completely

@cormachayden_ Yeah onboarding is very important when it comes to an app, the first point of interaction of every user. BTW I'm building a tool that reads through 1000s of app reviews and spits out top 3 action items. Waitlist is live, join now.
