Another example showing why many drivers on our roads don’t know what a T-intersection is or how to approach it properly. In this case, the auto tipper should have come to a complete stop, checked both sides, and then merged safely onto the main road.

Ibadan to Akure road is on full dualization (under construction) Lagos to Akure route is on full dualization.(under construction) Ekiti to Akure road is on full dualization.(under construction) Akure to Benin road dualization will soon start. This is the first time in my adult life to see these scale of road constructions from the FG. State Governments are not matching these efforts. They've left inner roads undone and it is worsening. Today’s #AQI is over 200. Our city has been engulfed in polluted air since the monsoons stopped. There is no skyline visible that developers are so proud of. It is hidden in the smog. Imagine what this is doing to the lungs of our children? The rampant waste burning, industrial emissions, over 6000 construction sites continue to flout guidelines and norms. Despite repeated warnings and attempts to put checks in place. Breathing this toxic air affects every person. Our children and elderly especially. Hope the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC will do more to help us all breathe cleaner air. As citizens we will support you but WE must do more to #BeatAirPollution 🙏🏻

Today a group of Muslims prayed next to the Ministry of Defence, facing the Iraq and Afghanistan memorial. As I have said before, choosing to pray in this way in public is a political act. It is a social statement and, yes, it is an act of domination. Anybody who understands Islamism understands that the domination of public spaces is part of the modus operandi. It is done so Islamists can show who is in charge - and to show other Muslims and the wider public that the authorities will bend to their will. There is quite obviously no need to pray here. The decision to do so is symbolic and pointed. It is not welcome. We have freedom of religion in this country, which is why there are mosques. But we are not a Muslim country and this is not welcome. It should be stopped.
