okay this is either completely fabricated or massively exaggerated. a fruit fly brain has 100k neurons — it was evolved to avoid swatting and find food, not recognize 3d game graphics and execute complex boss patterns. claiming it beat malenia (one of the hardest elden ring bosses) in 5 days is... not believable. even if the setup works technically, a fly's brain learning complex game strategy that fast doesn't match how neuroscience actually works. cool art project or fiction, but almost certainly not real
