This is just insane… My GPT-4 coding assistant can now: - build and design a frontend - create a backend with working db - correctly hook them up - upload code to GitHub - deploy it to Vercel I can now build *complete* apps with nothing more than my... show more

I am so stoked to let people use this with @CodewandAI you have no idea. If you don’t see the potential with where this is headed as it improves I don’t know what to tell you. This is a new era of computing.

Minor note on the demo: The ONLY setup thing I did for this was I had to create the Supabase project manually and give my agent the postgres connection string - can’t sidestep that manually. But ZERO work was done on anything else in Supabase beyond just grabbing those envs.

I’m still *dying* at the asking for a raise joke. The prompt on that segment is basically “end with a friendly goodbye” and I guess it rolled with that hahahaha

Literally my favorite part of this was how excited you were to show that the @supabase schema had popped up! Moments like that are why I love recording things like this. Way cool @mckaywrigley, incredible work. We're def living in the future.

@supabase It never gets old when you hack on something all night and go to record the demo and it just works like magic

2013 "What will you do with that worthless philosophy degree?" 2023 "What will you do with that worthless CS degree?"

Thanks for sharing your work! Off-topic: Do you think traditional coding will remain important for kids' future based on your current AI experience and perspective? Or what other skills should kids focus on?

I wrestle with this. One thing I always come back to is something @paulg has talked about with writing. Even though AI can write for you, learning to write is still useful because you learn how to think. I think a similar thing applies for programming.

Amazing. How much coding do you actually know, or is this all natural language programming and #GPT4? Not enough hours in the day.

Full-time since mid 2019, so I’m not half bad. Have the experience. The GPT-4 stuff really amplifies it though.
