We live in the solo founder era. That's for sure and building with AI has accelerated. I am building software to use for myself and replace the expensive tools I used to use. And partially thanks to AI we can build faster, but not dramatically faster if you want to build a commercial grade product. Before I was using a live chat and customer support tool that costed around 50-100$ a month. This helped me to interact with the customers of my agency or prospects. But I decided a few months ago to build my own and stop paying for these more expensive solutions. I did and turned into a product for everyone to use. The build was not 1-2 hours of work using AI, but it was a several-month process on and off as I needed it. Finally, it has turned into a commercial grade product. I have built several of these and this is when we will see more and more solutions like these. Let's start bootstrapping before showing MRR figures.

If you are stuck with this, here is a recommendation that will change your life: Go to connect your email, GitHub account, and the software you use to manage projects, and build a workflow that will brief you before every standup. Dimension is pretty incredible. You can literally write a prompt and have Dimension build an agent that will do the work in the background for you. Example: "Go to Linear and GitHub and write a summary of the tasks I completed last week. Organize them based on priority and effort. Send me an email with the results." Schedule this workflow to run 10 minutes before your Scrum meetings, and you'll get an email right before you need it. You can have AI now do all sorts of tasks for you: 1. Brief you before a meeting 2. Reply or handle cold emails 3. Take care of support messages 4. Research tasks for you And all of this can happen unprompted, in the background. I am hooked on Dynamic Workflows! The idea of generating harnesses on the fly is so compelling that I reverse-engineered it for my agent orchestrator. And then I built a monitoring dashboard (as an HTML artifact) to track tasks, metrics, and reports. I can now use and monitor dynamic workflows in my agent orchestrator with coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and even my own custom-built DAIR.AI agent. This is clearly the future of working with agents to accomplish complex, long-running tasks. i bet you haven't seen a SO101 mounted on a wall like this before if you want to do the same, here is LeSlider: i built it cause i wanted something that can cover my whole desk for tasks like organizing and cleaning i originally wanted to have a belt system like what 3D printers have, but i was too lazy and used a pinion/track with another sts3215 so: > the extra motor shares the same bus as the rest of SO101 > you can have arbitrary length of track > really cheap and easy to assemble and control it turned out better than expected with this, i'm gonna train a model to pick random stuff up across my table and put it into a bin at the end of table (realistically using yolo to scan table, two policies, one for picking up objects, one for dropping)

This is probably the most complex workflow I’ve ever built, only with open-source tools. It took my 4 days. It takes four inputs: author, title, and style; and generates a full visual animated story in one click in ComfyUI . I worked on it for four days. There are still some bugs, but here’s the first preview. Here’s a quick breakdown: - The four inputs are sent to LLMs with precise instructions to generate: first, prompts for images and image modifications; second, prompts for animations; third, prompts for generating music. - All voices are generated from the text and timed precisely, as they determine the length of each animation segment. - The first image and video are generated to serve as the title, but also as the guide for all other images created for the video. - Titles and subtitles are also added automatically in Comfy. - I also developed a lot of custom nodes for minor frame calculations, mostly to match audio and video. - The full system is a large loop that, for each line of text, generates an image and then a video from that image. The loop was the hardest part to build in this workflow, so it can process either a 20-second video or a 2-minute video with the same input. - There are multiple combinations of LLMs that try to understand the text in the best way to provide the best prompts for images and video. - The final video is assembled entirely within ComfyUI. - The music is generated based on the LLM output and matches the exact timing of the full animation. - Done! For reference, this workflow uses a lot of models and only works on an RTX 6000 Pro with plenty of RAM. My goal is not to replace humans, as I’ll try to explain later, this workflow is highly controlled and can be adapted or reworked at any point by real artists! My aim was to create a tool that can animate text in one go, allowing the AI some freedom while keeping a strict flow. I don’t know yet how I’ll share this workflow with people, I still need to polish it properly, but maybe through Patreon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my research, and let’s always keep pushing further! :)

I just released a beta version of /dev/push. It's basically a (simpler) alternative to Vercel, Render, and the likes. You can log in with GitHub, pick a repo, configure your build and off you go. Whenever you push code to GitHub it will automatically deploy it for you. There's obviously more to it: environments, custom domains, environment variables, custom commands, teams... And I'm working on adding more: custom Docker containers, remote nodes, SQLite database, support for PHP, RoR... It's completely free and open source (MIT license). The online version is for now restricted as I test things up. Links below👇

We built an AI-steered homing/killer drone in just a few hours I thought it would be fun to build a drone that chases you around as a game. It just uses an AI object detection model to find people in the frame, and then the drone is programmed to fly towards this at full speed as soon as it detects someone. This literally took just a few hours to build, and made me realize how scary it is. You could easily strap a small amount of explosives on these and let 100's of them fly around. We check for bombs and guns but THERE ARE NO ANTI-DRONE SYSTEMS FOR BIG EVENTS & PUBLIC SPACES YET. I was also able to add face recognition to it, and only make it attack someone it knew who was, it could easily identify the person from 10 meters distance. My bet is that we will see some sort of terror attack using this type of tech within the next few years. You still need some technical knowledge to build this now, but it becomes easier and easier. We need to build anti-drone systems for civilian spaces asap. I'm usually an open-source absolutist, but I will not post for now, it's honestly super easy to code but no point enabling. Disclaimer: this was built on a tiny drone for a game and would not hurt anyone, just wanted to spread awareness around this .

This man applied for a job and was hired but told them he could start for 6 weeks because he wanted to do some traveling for leisure. But during the hiring process he had 72 hours to do a drug test which he failed to do. They cancelled his job offer and he feels it wasn’t because of the missed drug test, so what is he implying the reasoning behind it was then? Fresh out of college, that insurance gig was the first one I applied for and was hired for. Up until then I never had to take a drug test but then again why would I have? I didn’t do drugs on a normal basis anyways. But my best friends were pot heads. On the day before my drug test I was smoking a cigarette and my friend asked for a hit and I gave it to him. The other friend passed me a joint and I took it thinking it was my cigarette and I took a long dragged and almost coughed up a lung. I panicked, I just had taken a hit of pot when I had to be drug tested for a new job the next day. I went to the testing and did it, I got a call a few days later from HR confirming I passed and I told her I was worried because my friends smoke and I thought it would show up in my system as a second hand application. She said nah don’t worry, we only test for the hard stuff anyways. That part I didn’t know, but after that I saw my other buddies pass their work related tests too so maybe it was more widespread than I knew.

This is controversial, but in many cases, humans have become the bottleneck in building software. You are making everything slower and worse by babysitting agentic coding tools. You aren't better at coding than frontier models, and you are letting your ego get in your own way. I'm working with Vorflux and their platform to build software on autopilot. "Autopilot" is the key here: their platform is designed to work autonomously, for a long time, with no human intervention. I like it because they do a lot of the verification I'd have to do myself. An idea goes in → good software comes out In my tests, this works well for complex problems and non-trivial tasks. You don't use this to fix a button's color. You use this to build an entire feature that would take you hours of planning and days of work. Now, the reason the output is really good is that they have baked in adversarial agents that verify outputs at different levels. They aren't trying to finish earlier. They are focusing on giving you good software back. It takes 5 minutes to set up. Connect your repo, give it a task (something big, ambitious), go to sleep, and come back the next day to a solution. That's it. By the way, really cool that they built a bunch of ways to notify you when the work is done, and you get a summary video with everything that was done. You aren't better at coding than frontier models, and you are letting your ego get in your own way. I'm working with Vorflux and their platform to build software on autopilot. "Autopilot" is the key here: their platform is designed to work autonomously, for a long time, with no human intervention. I like it because they do a lot of the verification I'd have to do myself. An idea goes in → good software comes out In my tests, this works well for complex problems and non-trivial tasks. You don't use this to fix a button's color. You use this to build an entire feature that would take you hours of planning and days of work. Now, the reason the output is really good is that they have baked in adversarial agents that verify outputs at different levels. They aren't trying to finish earlier. They are focusing on giving you good software back. It takes 5 minutes to set up. Connect your repo, give it a task (something big, ambitious), go to sleep, and come back the next day to a solution. That's it. By the way, really cool that they built a bunch of ways to notify you when the work is done, and you get a summary video with everything that was done.
