Here's a look behind the scenes of how I used a 3d model, generated from an image, as a "driver" for ai animation. In the near future we'll see more 3d tools that support these types of workflows, with much more emphasis on enhancing user input instead of just letting the ai do everything. I used the 3d model to generate keyframes that I then animated in Luma Dream. By using a 3d model with a diffusion "layer" done with Krea, I got quite high quality frames with a relatively high consistency as well since the AI didn't have to "hallucinate" that much. I upscaled and detailed the frames using Magnific. Using semi-detailed 3d models as drivers for gen ai is very powerful, and it allows us to use models that are sculpted in a more free-flowing type of workflow that doesn't rely so much on high surface detailing or very time-consuming finish, but instead relies more on gestural 3d sculpting. #art #ai

These 3D models have the advantage of being extremely light compared to polygon-based 3D models. You can use various apps to generate these assets like the one I mentioned above. Often what you need is just a video or a set of images that you can shoot directly from your phone. To my knowledge, none of those apps right now offer the ability to edit and "clean" the model you get.... UNTIL NOW! You can go to from PlayCanvas import the splats you have downloaded and start cleaning it up directly on your #browser. After that the asset is ready to be exported as a PLY file Was this useful? I made tons of money building websites for people and small companies. Most of that is now gone. You can now generate, customize, and deploy a website using natural language. I recorded myself building a site from scratch using 10Web.io. 4 minutes later, I had a full website generated just for me. Crazy! "#AI will never create clean meshes" AI 👇 This is the new #AI model from NVIDIA called Meshtron (jeez what a name 😅). It generates meshes of complex 3D objects closely resembling those created by professional artists. It opens the door to a more realistic generation of detailed 3D assets for animation, gaming, and virtual environments. The current version accepts the following control inputs: - Point cloud: Determines the shape of the output mesh. - Face count: Determines the density of the output mesh. - Quad ratio: Switches between quad and triangle tessellation. - Creativity: Can be adjusted to generate extra details in the model. This is the power of VFX and AI now.. Creating volumetric effects in AI and then using AfterEffects and Premiere to layer and edit + Topaz Labs to upscale, you can visually achieve the same effects that would have taken me A LOT longer in Cinema4D/Blender. This is really amazing, only because if I can do this now with what we have, imagine where it will be in 6-mo 🔥 it will only get better. Soon we’ll be able to do a lot more within 3D environments with gaussian splats and volumetric effects. It won’t be long after that before Cinema, blender and others integrate gaussian splats and generative prompting directly into the software design and render process. At that point things are going to get REALLY BADASS! I’m chillin tonight, finally a night off lol. But tomorrow I’ll show you guys how I did this ❤️

Over the weekend, I added multiplayer "paint ball" dogfight to Tiny Skies, so players can fly around pelting each other with colourful paint balls, just for fun. I tried meshy and tripo to generate some 3D models for the game and the mesh vertices count are really high and lags the game a lot (probably because my game is a globe with thousands of objects - albeit mostly instanced). To my surprise, I found Gemini 3.1 Pro to be really quite good at generating good looking 3D models that are low in poly count. It generated 3D models at a much higher quality than Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6 and GPT 5.4. You can see the upgraded biplane models and some objects in the video below. #vibejam

You can release 1,000 games on Roblox, but if they're all this low quality, none of them are going to succeed. Use AI for the programming all you want, but it won't save a game that's fundamentally bad. There are plenty of successful games that use AI as part of the development process, but they still have someone with a solid understanding of programming and game design guiding the AI toward a quality product. AI is a tool, not a replacement for good judgment or experience. If the game itself isn't fun, polished, or well designed, it simply isn't going to do well.

I made an interactive three.js site that constructs towers with weather and time of day effects. I went from making mostly static sites with huge images to three.js with highly textured, detailed 3D models, and the entire site is under 1-2mb. Because it's 3D, you can ask AI to customize everything: themed towers from different countries, ancient and modern styles, weather like snow and rain, lighting from morning to night. The surprising part is that with a solid foundation it creates those changes pretty much one-shot. It's like starting a design system, where the AI figures out how to stay consistent in quality with the rest of the design. The hard part is avoiding 3D slop, which is easier thanks to Opus 5 and open-source projects. I used Claude Code for the harness, Higgsfield to generate textures and soundfx/music. Let me know if you'd like the open-source. Inspiration: Btw, I love that we get auto-translated posts from around the world. It really expands our horizon in terms of inspiration.

The sky's the limit when you blend classical visual effects with generative ai. We’re on the brink of fully generative content—where creation becomes so abstracted that you can literally turn your mind inside out onto any canvas, from image to video to 3D. For now though, you get predictable curves and animation in the world’s greatest VFX tool — Nuke.

I hope that in the foreseeable future, we will be able to "prompt-to-real estate" as well, with robots building a complete building from the ground up. If you are in India, you might get a bollywood track, all aligned to the video. In US a viewer might get served with something closer to the Rolling Stones. This is a huge trend that's just starting.
