1000% agree. Kids aren’t taught how to cope with all the intricacies of the game. You have to know how to stay calm under pressure, how to lose graciously. Each pitch is a new opportunity, a new chance at something. Too often a bad AB or a missed play will ruin a kid for a game.

I coach youth baseball, and 1000% this. Don’t worry so much about buying the nicest equipment and pushing physical development. Build baseball IQ. You can build it all year long, and a kid that knows what to do in every situation does the team more good.
