I'm not exaggerating, it literally happened. Check this 2021 BBC article on "the foreigners in China’s disinformation drive" ( framing foreign vloggers who speak positively about China as "foreign faces who can help sell government messaging overseas." Fast-forward to now and the BBC **themselves** are now saying that "China is owning the future" of global power (that's literally the title of the video: that China "doesn't demand fealty, doesn't demand you adopt its ideology," that countries are "flocking" to do deals with Beijing and that China is, "for all intents and purposes, a lovely place to live."
