This traffic circle has been a long-standing pain point for me on FSD. As you can see, the car consistently drives in the bike lane here. I’ve documented this behavior before on FSD 12, 13, and now 14. The issue appears to stem from outdated map data. This section of the circle used to function as a two-way roadway. At the time, there was no bike lane and vehicles traveled in the space FSD still prefers today. Since the redesign, that area is now a dedicated bike lane, but FSD doesn’t reliably recognize the change. Depending on the version, it will occasionally handle this correctly, but most of the time it does not. This is currently the only issue I consistently experience with FSD. It’s not safety critical. The car will move if a cyclist, vehicle, or object is present, but reliance on outdated map data in locations like this needs to improve.

Tesla Self-Driving stops for an opossum crossing the road on a dark and foggy night. I hope this video really shows what an incredible job FSD did here. It slowed and then stopped for this little guy flawlessly! I 100% did not see it until after FSD had begun slowing down. Has anyone else had FSD slow for animals like this before? Reasoning is what really changed the game with FSD V14, and as they implement more of it, it’s going to be game over. Here’s a great example. FSD exits the parking lot of this coffee shop. If you zoom into the nav at the top right corner, you can see that it’s telling me to turn left (illegal to do so here). This has been a map error at this shop for a while. On all previous FSD versions, I’d disengage here as FSD would try to make the illegal left. With V14.2 reasoning, the car gathers context, understands it isn’t supposed to turn left here/ignores nav and triggers the re-route.

This major issue with the FSD 14.3 branch is still present in 14.3.4. FSD has completely forgotten how to handle this green left turn arrow FSD fights back if you try to hold the accelerator and in 2 of the 3 attempts this causes the wheel to fly around so much I have to grab it This is a major issue that generally results in a critical disengagement (either getting completely stuck at the light or becoming stranded in the intersection if the car goes the wrong way - either way confusing human traffic). Rarely the car does somewhat respond to the accelerator and can be coaxed through. FSD has never had this level of difficulty going through this intersection from this direction through 14.2.2.5

There is a growing trend for this sandwich cutting hack. Many people are now claiming cutting a sandwich in a Y shape gives a better bite. I’ve never seen anyone do this but I’d be willing to give it a try. For me the only difference is the crust pieces aren’t that great. Would you try this and see if your sandwich taste better just with this style of cut?

Tesla FSD V14.1.2 Mad Max mode is INSANE. FSD accelerates and weaves through traffic at an incredible pace, all while still being super smooth. It drives your car like a sports car. If you are running late, this is the mode for you. Well done Tesla AI team, EPIC.

I’ve been noticing this recently on 14.2.2.5. When FSD sees a semi in front of it drifting, it won’t drive alongside it or pass. You can see this semi drifting on and off the line multiple times in this vid, and as it slows down, FSD slows down with it to avoid driving alongside it. Love subtle stuff like this. It’s exactly what I’d do.

I’ve been spending a lot of time with the Cybertruck over the last couple of weeks. I can confidently say this is the best Tesla ever made. FSD has a lot to do with it. It feels like an autonomous land yacht that can take on anything. The way this truck drives, soaks up bumps, offers tons of room for humans and cargo, and drives itself is hard to wrap my head around. I haven’t driven the truck manually for more than a mile since I’ve had it. A pickup truck that drives itself pretty much flawlessly should not exist so soon in my lifetime, but it does. Crazy.

V14.2 approaches a cyclist on a winding, rural back road with blind turn after blind turn. For nearly 2 minutes, FSD patiently follows the cyclist, keeping a safe distance as we navigate blind bend after blind bend. When FSD finally has enough visibility distance, it hits the accelerator and executes the pass. This is exactly how I would’ve handled this. The moment it passed is the exact moment I would’ve passed. All prior opportunities were too risky due to lack of distance visibility. It is in these moments where subtle, but complex intelligence emerges. It didn’t used to be like this. We’ve watched this level of intelligence emerge over time. This is why using FSD is the ultimate signal for what Tesla is. It is how you can realize that Tesla made the right decision going all in on intelligence over sensor bloat. Hurry Mode is no longer capped at 10 MPH over the speed limit, and now travels with the flow of traffic. This is much more comfortable and requires no assistance on the driver’s end. Previously, I was helping it switch lanes with v14.2.1. ✅ Lane changes are performed much more confidently and FSD seems to make proper maneuvers at proper times. This was a regression in v14.2.1. This version is significantly better. ✅ Merging, switching lanes, and passing are all performed with zero interventions. Perhaps the most natural feeling of highway driving in an FSD update in some time. Well done Tesla AI
