Getting caught trying to do something like this should be an immediate lifetime ban from ever carrying a license again.

Let them make a full report to law enforcement, signed statement, then tell the cops about the camera. That way they can be criminally charged for making false statements to law enforcement, in addition to the moving violations.

I want the video of their face when they learned the truck had a dash cam, and just caught their attempted insurance scam on camera. 😂

I bought a dash cam for my son and it saved him over $60000 In medical fees when a driver claimed he rear ended her, He showed the lawyers the dash cam of her hitting reverse and smashing into him.

For those saying the driver didn't realize they are in reverse: 3 seconds. That's how long the driver had. If it takes you 3 seconds to hit the break pedal, then you have the reaction time of a snail and shouldn't be given a driver's license. This guy was looking for a payout.

The white pickup is an accomplice. There to provide eye witness for the cops.

And never tell anyone you have a camera until the other party has written out their statement. Makes it more entertaining

@SDSLLC_USA To the other commenters: it doesn’t matter if they slipped gear and went reverse. Even if they went forward they would’ve crashed. This was purely intentional. Shitty driving skills is no excuse.

STOP the "No Fault" nonsense and assign blame once again. The premiums to those who obey the laws will plummet and those 43% tip-toeing around under-insured or uninsured should have liens on their property, bank accts, IRS & paychecks until every dime of damages is paid back!

Im a insurance fraud investigator,, the car most likely tried to get rear ended, but failed and thus backed up to claim he was rear ended. They pick out trucks cause they know they carry minimum of $1M coverage, some up to $10M. Guarantee there was 3 or 4 scammers in the car.

WTF. Are they trying to commit insurance fraud? I can about imagine what the weasel driver looks like. Normal ppl don’t drive recycled trash cans. 😂 I’d love to see the fucknuts face when they realize it’s on video 🤣

Now he's totaled his car on purpose, probably has a whiplash, is gonna be charged with attempted insurance fraud among others and his insurance won't pay for his vehicle. Hope it was worth it! 🤔

Low trust society. Put cameras everywhere. Make sure you're carrying. Stay safe out there!

No one mentioning how awesome the person in the white truck is for pulling over. They were going to make sure they were a witness to the clear insurance fraud. If you ever see this in the wild, DO YOUR PART! Don’t let people get away with this.

Not only does the dash cam have this recorded, the auto's Event Data Recorder (EDR) will have this logged. That's one of the first thing investigators are going to look at. That scammer is cooked.

Who knows the joke: 'How fast were those n*99*rs going in reverse' ? They made it happen, and they were going fast.

@WTFoxtrot10 Our trucks all have them. It has saved our company millions! We are considering getting them on our cars too. There are far too many crazy drivers and bikers.

I think it’s awesome that the white pickup driver witnessed it and didn’t leave. Unless they were a party to the attempted scam.

You let them talk to the popo first. Then ask them if they really want to stick with that statement, "yes". Then inform them that it is a crime to lie to the popo during an investigation, "and..." Then show popo the video. Like a double whammy! YW :D

I wonder if deliberately smashing into someone for insurance scam purposed can be treated as attempted murder.. Anyway, life in prison should scare them off a little.

This driver HAD to have seen it happen…their windows are even down so no doubt they would have also heard it. They were alongside on the right with a perfect viewpoint. WHY wouldn’t they pull over and act as a witness?

I know there are a lot of professional truckers out there that do a great job, but unfortunately, there are a lot of shitty ones too! I'm old now, but I can sure tell the difference from 40-50 years ago to now.
