If I were to compare Metroid Prime 4 to what kind of game it is, I'd say it's a blend of Prime 1 for the biomes, mixed with the story telling elements (but way better imo) of Metroid Prime 3. THIS is Next Gen Metroid Prime. Majestic, chilling, isolated and beautiful. ❄️🌨️

In a single gen some Nintendo fans went from understanding and appreciating art styles, to now being smug about graphics fidelity. The irony is Nintendo is still WAY behind on that front. And yes I know fps differs, but Uncharted 4 came out a decade ago (2016).

This is _extremely_ cool. SVELTROID: the HUD and visors from Metroid Prime, recreated with SvelteKit and Three.js. Even scanning works! The world is rendered via Three, but the HUD is all Svelte components. Shared by Tyler Johnson in the Svelte Discord's showcase channel.

DF Confirms: Nintendo has been lying about the image quality of the clips they show to compare Switch 1 vs Switch 2 differences. Nintendo are FRAUDS!!! This is how I know The Switch 2 was just supposed to be a Switch 1 Pro, Nintendo purposely made the clips of Switch 1 look more washed out because the differences aren't that much different in general, Switch 1 games don't look much different than Switch 2 games. This is also the reason why Mario Kart World is really just a Switch 1 game pushed to the Switch 2 to make it seems like it's a next gen tittle... but we can all that it's not. Nintendo are lying about alot of things here, VRR and now this, we're going to find out that Metroid Prime 4 on the Switch 2 isn't much different than Switch 1 versions and that these 4K 120FPS claims are also lies. #Fraudtendo

Metroid Prime, running native and stable on iPhone and iPad for the first time. No emulator. No streaming from a Mac. This is EctoPad. Built on Metaforce, the native Metroid Prime engine developed by AxioDL and its contributors, it plays great on both devices and runs at full speed on iPhone 14 and newer. Touch controls, controller support, and 4x internal res. I am still working through a visual issue that causes some textures and lighting to render inaccurately, along with a smaller problem affecting the first tutorial door. Sol 5.6 was used to make this possible. Open sourcing it below.

It feels like Metroid Prime 4 is coming in for a soft launch. The franchise keeps getting a backseat. Nintendo's just like: "meh, oh by the way here's some new gameplay." The dream: it would have been Switch 2 launch exclusive and propped up as something special from Nintendo. Squishing a new gameplay reveal between a bunch of "final" Switch 1 releases just feels lame. I get the economics. It's not a system seller, and performs modestly; and, why not give it the best shot possible across 100MM+ consoles (Switch 1 & 2)? But Samus should be treated like a star property. I'm not surprised at all. That said... I love me some Metroid Prime adventure and puzzles. New psychic powers should be fun. It's easy to lose confidence, but I suspect Retro will still delivery an awesome, reliable sequel after all these years.

Amazing how much more complete the Spurs are this year. They go 8-3 without Wemby and it’s a different guy almost every night going off. Last night: Stephon Castle with 30/10/6 on 10/14 from the floor. Can’t wait for Saturday vs OKC hopefully with Wemby.
