A leopard walked into a cowshed in Champawat. Sat down with the cows and buffaloes. Did nothing. And left. On Monday afternoon in Khilpiti village of Manadhungha, Lohaghat block, a leopard entered the cowshed of local resident Dwarika Singh and quietly settled among the tethered cattle. The family came in to feed the animals. They did not even notice the leopard sitting there. The leopard did not react either. It was only when a family member switched on the torch of a mobile phone that they spotted it sitting calmly in the corner. The shock sent them scrambling. The leopard saw its chance and slipped out.

A group of baboons take video selfies after a phone fell into their zoo enclosure. The incident happened at the Wildlands zoo in the Netherlands. "I was standing at the monkey enclosure with the phone in my hand," 32-year-old Shahra Bahloul explained. Bahloul was then run into by someone which launched her phone "right through the fences." They even didn’t forget about the owner’s dog (possibly it was in on the theft). The dog finished off all the treats that had fallen to the floor. How the woman got rid of the uninvited guests remains unknown. And we can be glad that in our climate such bandits don’t thrive — otherwise we’d have to share dinner with them.
