That is a crew and a beast of aeronautical engineering doing what they are designed to do ... the accident the other day was smaller beast arguing with Its pilots !! Simply experience and exceptional people that can handle such a machine.
That's what those Amazon idiots should have done but they screwed it up too.

Notice even after the Go-around is commanded and power is pushed up to Go-around the aircraft still touches down. Very common.
go-arounds are free. a runway overrun in a 747-8F loaded with cargo isn't. love watching all four spool up - crew read it right and didn't let pride make the call.

As they say, it is better to have to explain to your company why you performed a go around than for an inquiry to find out why you didn’t!

The most difficult thing about going around with all engines available with these well-powered modern jets at landing weight is not leveling off at what may be a missed approach altitude of only 2000 feet above the runway. All “a-holes and elbows”. The missed approaches…
