“Er actually, you CAN get those games on Switch.” 🤓 Paying for a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is not the same as actually buying Nintendo’s Legacy content for official play on that console.

Nintendo is incredibly anti-consumer. Never lower their prices, never sell their older games, never license them out, shut down fan and community projects and contests, sue like there's no tomorrow, and actively steal (copyrighting) fan art of their characters.

Nintendo is making EA look like the more "consumer friendly" company at this point lmao

You aren't allowed to play these pokemon games UNLESS you bought the games from 15 years ago or pay up a hefty amount of money from a reseller.

The only way now is 🏴☠️

That quote was out of context THIS is the actual quote:

Arg

I don't need to see the quote to know it's Nintendo

The tweet got deleted in real time after i watched the video

Always pirate Nintendo games, a pirate life for me. Fuck em.

This joke should be used with streaming services. And marvel animation

That Patrick impression is on point

That's why pirating Nintendo games is not only a duty but also a pleasure.

Uncle AI mentioned

@LsTdiecast Copyright law is a joke

Imagine if Nintendo made EVERY game locked behind that dumb ass subscription purchasable for just $1 on the eShop. Like they would make exponentially more money just off that

Ah yes the out of context quote is back

"We can't make wii u ports to the nintendo switch we don't have the thec- MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU MADE THE THECNOLOGY AND CONSOLE!

and nintendo wonder why their old games find their way online on a probably daily basis.

Probably a huge licensing hassle. Server maintenance and upkeep. Files degrade over time. It seems like company/user mutualism. On the other hand, they would make infinity money if they added the entire pixel art Pokémon library available at reasonably prices.

I don't condone it as a whole, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Manga is the biggest example, so many great series will never cross the ocean or get an anime, so fanlation is what it is.

This makes sense when you remember Nintendo is a legal company that makes its money from lawsuits instead of a gaming company

@VenomPichu Incase you ask, they are real voices, not a/i

Yup. Movies “endured” because every time a new format came out, companies would push them to it. Now we have streaming of virtually every movie ever, but some still become lost media. Video game companies are the only ones who allow their stuff to become lost media.

It’s just like I keep saying, Nintendo’s never been the same since Satoru Iwata died. *Sigh…*

At least switch still uses physical games that should still work.

The fact that the new "virtual boy" classics app they're doing is FORCING you to buy their stupid headset for 100 dollars to even play the games they're already making you pay for is downright evil and greedy.

@RTRC_2012 This is hilarious
