$Earth is an enclosed system, covered by a firmament dome that separates us from the waters above. The Sun and Moon are local, following an electromagnetic circular track around Polaris. Next time you watch a sunset, note how the Sun drifts to the right as it approaches the horizon. This is because from our perspective on the ground, the Sun's clockwise motion (if looking DOWN on the system from above), appears from a ground observer to be a rightward drift. I think Black Flag Resynced's ability slot system is completely inferior to a classic weapon wheel. With a weapon wheel, you can swap your quick slot items instantly, it looks clean on the HUD and it doesn't pull you out of the game world into the inventory menu just to reassign gear. Tbh this isn't just a BFR issue since several AC games over the past 8 years have suffered from it. I really hope Ubisoft adds an options to let players choose between a weapon wheel or ability slots and let us toggle between the compass and a traditional mini map.

These international flight time-lapse videos are fantastic for visualizing exactly how the sun moves in its westward circular path above our Flat Earth. This one is from New York 🇺🇸 to Moscow 🇷🇺 during northern Summer (meaning very long days, even 24hrs if you're far enough north) Note how it just barely peeks out of view as it crosses over Asia, since it's only slightly out of the viewer's perspective. It then quickly pops back up, and meets the plane around Russia. The main mindset folks need to lock in is that the sun's light IS NOT INFINITE, ranging millions of miles as the heliocentric model promotes. It's more of a spotlight, and it disappears from our perspective when it reaches around 6,000 miles away (from the ground - this visual distance is increased when you're in a airplane at high altitude) I recommend people think about this next time you're on an international flight. It's so simple once you get it. If you're still struggling to wrap your head around the concept, check out the "How Seasons Work" video, which I will tack on below. It has a more detailed animation showing how the sun's path changes between the Summer and Winter solstices.
