⭐️This Oakland County, MI. sheriff sergeant doesn't take no for an answer.... because he's the POLICE and he can get away with it. His two buddies just standby and watch as he stomps on the Fourth Amendment. A man was recording on public property near the sheriff's employee parking... lot when he was confronted by Sgt. T. Vida who requested ID. When the man declined Sgt. Vida told him he was detained and without permission went through his pockets and wallet to find an identification. He wrote down the information, gave the wallet back and told the man he was free to go. He said he took the ID absent suspicion of a crime and without permission, because "I like to know who I'm talking to." Sheriff Waters and a retired robbery detective chased the man. When the Sheriff tried to grab him by his sweatshirt, the man twisted away. The Sheriff pursued him to the edge of the parking lot, where he took him to the ground. The man struggled to get away and resisted, but with the help of the retired detective, they were able to get him into handcuffs as shoppers cheered them on. District 2 Patrol officers responded quickly and took over the investigation. The suspect has been identified as Raymond Pena, Jr. of Jacksonville (40). He is charged with theft and resisting. He also had two active warrants for theft. “Just because I was elected sheriff doesn’t mean I’m no longer a policeman,” said Sheriff Waters, who recently cited a teenager for littering. This gentleman went to get a quick bite to eat, he ordered his sandwich the way he wanted it and when the employee rung him up, he tried to give the cash. The employee became annoyed and told him that due to a system problem, they couldn’t take cash and told him he would be throwing his sandwich away. The gentleman even said that since it was an issue on their end could he just get the sandwich for free since it’s not his fault they couldn’t accept cash and the employee became even more annoyed and said no. I have a feeling the employee was annoyed because he knew it was his fault he didn’t let the customer know beforehand what was going on, shouldn’t the employee just let him have the sandwich though?
