I used to think this was only in movies. Like an officer will really arrest you without even questioning you?? I hope he gets sued for that!

If wrongfully detained, you might be like “what the fuck?” But understand they have a job to do. You match the description, however much that may suck in the moment, understand what’s going on & just comply, easy That said, body slam was 1000% unnecessary & imo fireable offense

The officer had probable cause to detain. Subject was non-compliant. Body slamming was a bit overboard. I would have probably pulled out the baton and done some less damaging pain compliance with it.

He could’ve gained compliance without the takedown by appropriately going through the UoF continuum. That was textbook excessive force.

The officer never told him what he was being detained for. If he had, he may have not been asking what was going on. He wasn’t resisting or being aggressive, he was asking questions. Cop was in the wrong the entire encounter.
