Yesterday, the Minnesota Senate passed the most comprehensive gun violence prevention package in state history. I was proud to work alongside Zaynab Mohamed to get it done. It included an assault weapons sales ban and high capacity magazine limits. I carried provisions to ban binary triggers, ban untraceable 3D-printed firearms, and strengthen and expand awareness of Minnesota’s red flag law. Now it goes to the House. Let's get it done!

Virginians have traveled across the state to voice their objection to the new gun laws that will ban the purchase of high capacity magazines. Micheál Martin can't handle the truth. His rent hike bill will increase rents by up to €5000 a year for 60,000 people. This is a recipe for disaster and will drive more and more young people to Australia and beyond. If Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael gave a damn about renters they would abandon this bill - they need to end the rip off, ban rent increases and make rent affordable.
