Go ahead and put in 40-60 hours a week in a job just to come home to your another full time job and you better abide by the rules or you’ll get served divorce papers and lose half your stuff and the kids.

I wish I had this cross my path YEARS ago. Not a wife in my case, a single mother and I, the only child. I am 46 and she just turned 82 and she has only recently demonstrated she is aware of her past actions. The final moment was her attempting to take me to court for a family violence order that never occurred. She gaslit the whole thing, and I was prepared to stand in a courtroom just so that there was finally other rational logical minds witnessing what I had been continually dragged through my whole life. That type of behaviour is evil. Don't stand for it.

This is an insane assertion - no one would bring up an issue if their concerns are settled because all people for the most part (except psychopaths) AVOID UNNECESSARY CONFLICT. You are not voluntarily confronting a difficult situation if you don’t have to.

Everyone suffers the days of silence including the kids. It includes empty threats. ‘I’m leaving your Dad. We are going to your Aunt’s’ - It only stopped when I was old enough to say ‘You can go, I’m staying with Dad.’ This was followed by hateful ‘Oh you would love that’

Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. This is why my body and mind were physically sick. There was no us, even though it was a 10-year marriage. I was the only one that ever fought for the marriage at all. Her solution was just to fuck lots of guys.

My wife did a thing called VR goggles where whatever she said when she was drunk could not ever be brought up again. I tried confronting her while she enraged on me and that didn't work. Then try to bring up the next morning. Finally VR goggles came into play
