They tell me they have lived there for many years without access to reliable water, and for some, the roads have been in poor condition, or nonexistent, for as long as they can remember. Recently, a resident shared with me that she has been living in Sterling Castle for approximately 14 years without access to water. These situations are the result of years of poor planning and inadequate policy. While we cannot change the past, we are taking deliberate steps to correct it. Through the SPARK Programme and our aggressive water delivery initiatives, we are tackling these long-standing issues head-on and bringing much-needed improvements to hundreds of communities across Jamaica.
