This time, I’m testing how the fighters look using “3D sprites” (multi-angle sprites like in Doom)

Reminds me of Dark Edge, yes I'm sure like 3 of us remember this from the arcades...

Looking great!

Oh wow!!! I really prefer this version!!!

Thanks! I’ll include it in the final game then! I’m doing a lot of testing to make sure it doesn’t feel too much like Street Fighter and that the game has its own identity and style.

It feels nothing like Street Fighter, on the contrary, it looks completely fresh and new! Great job!!

I’m amazed how well this works

Very cool, needs to be faster though

pretty cool man! curious to see what you think of mine

Dark Edge spiritual successor

Much better; Kind of cool how we can try to hold the better Camera angle from youre opponent ; Itd be funny if you could make some blocks of grass so tall you can hide in it and surprise your enemy.

Dat grass moving so much be acting like its part of the combat

Very nice improvements! I like where this is headed!

3D fighting game with 2D style? That's new O_O

This is cool as hell. I had worked on a fighting game back in the 90's where we experimented with scaling the scene to accomplish something like this, (pre 3D graphics.) Certainly not to the extent you have. Can't wait to see how this develops

now were talking, love that over the shoulder

It looks really cool, but feels like there's not enough frames from some angles.

Yeah, forget what I said about making it Fatal-Fury-like. If you can make a 3D fighting game with the same 2D technology DOOM used, I'll buy this instantly at release. That's not even a jab, btw. I really want this to be "if Virtua Fighter was made by Id in 1993".

Looks like that Sega 3D fighter before Virtua Fighter. Cool!

I love this

Whats the name of this? Kinda want this in my game library

Great work, keep going. It looks like the characters move around fully in 3D space rather than being locked into a 2D (Street Fighter) or 2.5D (Tekken) plane?
