On Monday, I stepped in as CEO of =nil; Foundation. Today, we launch our first Testnet. ---------------- It’s a great honor to lead such a talented and experienced team. =nil; Foundation has been around for a long time (since 2018). It began as a group of engineers, cryptographers and researchers who just wanted to solve hard technical problems. That spirit carried us to pioneer ZK tech - developing earlier ZK developer tooling, writing circuits and staying close to the edge of blockchain R&D. Today, our spirit of solving hard problems is stronger than ever as we tackle a new challenge: blockchain scalability. In January 2023, we foresaw our current reality: a fragmented and dysfunctional L2 ecosystem. This led us to design zkSharding and build =nil; - a general purpose Ethereum L2. It offers the scalability of the rollup-centric roadmap while maintaining the composability you want. It’s the foundation for what we believe is the endgame of blockchain design and I’m thrilled to share that our Testnet is live (see post below).
