Foreign interference has been happening even well before the formation of the League of Nations. Even at the local level. It's just overt, versus covert interference.

British Columbia Premier David Eby says he will be writing to Prime Minister Mark Carney to request that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang be designated as a “terrorist organization in Canada.” This designation would allow police to investigate more effectively and provide them with the tools needed to put an end to the ongoing extortion. Eby notes that the issue is a major concern not only in B.C., but also in Alberta and Ontario, where gangs from India are known to be operating.
