The sense of presence in VR is something amazing. And it is what convinces me that sooner or later, VR will succeed. VR is now in one of its down moments. That's why, in these harsh days, I wanted to get back to feeling what made me fall in love with this technology: presence and immersion. I took some very good-looking PCVR experiences, like Half-Life: Alyx, or AirCar, and tried them at the maximum resolution possible on my Dell Pro Max T2 Tower, featuring an #NVIDIA RTX 6000 graphics card. Until a few months ago, I was using my old laptop, which started to show throttling issues, so I was used to lowering the render resolution, while this time, I was moving the slider up and up. The results have been astonishing: even a demo like AirCar made me in awe again, and Half-Life: Alyx was as immersive as I have ever tried it. As much as I love standalone VR, because I think it helped a lot in democratizing the technology, the WOW sensation that you can try on PCVR today is still unbeatable. Probably a good compromise between the two can be cloud rendering, but we still have to wait for it to become a reality. The sense of being somewhere else is a wonderful sensation, and everyone I demoed VR to all these years has been amazed by it, too. And every day, something makes me feel "there" (like today), I remember why I love this technology and why one day it will have a higher adoption. Sure, there are a lot of problems to solve, but I'm convinced one day it will happen. When? Well, it is always 5 to 10 years, every year... #VirtualReality #VR #technology [Disclaimer: I mentioned the PC model because I'm a #DellProPrecision ambassador, and I have been given the PC to do tests and experiments and share my results. This soldiering training is the most impressive and immersive I've ever tried. It is 10x better than a YouTube tutorial video. It really allowed me to see the procedure from all the points of view, and even get super close to get the details. It is a collaboration between Gracia and Imperial College London: they recorded a soldering session with Gaussian Splatting Videos (4DGS), so that you can enjoy it from your VR headset. You can see the action happening in front of you; you can pause and re-watch what you need, change the point of view, get closer, get more distant. And the quality with which it has been shot is impressive: I enjoyed this experience with my DELL Pro Max Tower T2 with NVIDIA Pro RTX 6000, and I could really see all the small details of the PCB that was being soldered! I was really impressed by it. But I also noticed some drawbacks. First of all, some scenes have artifacts that make seeing the details of the PCB hard. I think when it comes to training involving small details, the capture and reproduction of the splat should be flawless. Then, as much as I loved it as a passive experience, I would have liked to have also some sort of practice session in VR. The power of VR is to let you learn by doing in full safety, and this kind of training does not exploit it. But maybe the best way to enjoy it would be in MR, where you have this training video close to a real workbench where you do the actual soldering while following the tutorial. Gaussian Splat can really revolutionize training: this kind of recording is much better than any flatscreen experience, and more accurate than any 3D CGI recostruction. I suggest you give it a go at this experience in the Gracia app (it's free). Then let me know your impressions! #VirtualReality #training #DellProPrecision #GaussianSplat #technology [Disclaimer: I'm a DELL Pro Precision Ambassador, and this is why I mentioned the model of my PC. I have been given a PC to do cool tests and share my results on social media. No monetary compensation or sales affiliation is part of the collaboration]

Would you believe an AI agent can test a real VR action game in real time, the way a person plays it? Meta XR Operator makes it possible. As far as I know, this is the first time. I am not talking about tapping a menu or replaying a recorded click path, but genuinely moving, shooting, and using the same game mechanics a human player does. In NeonReach VR, which is a real (and open source) action game, rings spawn 12m out and come at you somewhere between 1.5 and 5.5 m/s, getting faster over a 90 second ramp. There are three kinds: straight, weaving side to side, and spinning. Every shot is a full slingshot cycle, so you press, pull back, aim, then release. Obstacles arrive at head height and cost you a life if you don't get out of the way. You have ten lives. Here is why the game is hard for an AI agent. Even though Meta XR Operator gives the agent everything it needs to observe the app and act inside it, the agent still cannot play. One agent turn takes 10 to 15 seconds. One throw is four steps that have to happen in order, because the press has to latch before the pull, and they cannot be batched into a single call. So a throw costs about 45 seconds. A fast ring only exists for 2.3 seconds. One action takes 20x longer than the target is alive. Prompt tuning does not close a gap that size. What works is a three stage path: EXPLORATION, then SKILL, then SCRIPT. 1/ EXPLORATION. The agent drives the live app and works the game out on its own. It verified the coordinate mapping by setting a pose and reading it back, then derived the launch model. The more useful output was the traps it found. For example, the player's own body collider silently deflects a ball released inside it, with no error and no log line. That produced two confident wrong conclusions before anyone caught them. 2/ SKILL. All of that gets written down as a reusable SKILL.md plus an aim solver. There is a section that separates what was actually verified from what was assumed, so a wrong conclusion cannot quietly turn into doctrine. This stage also produced the trick that mattered. Set timeScale to 0 and a throw becomes atomic in game time, so however long the agent spends thinking never shows up in the shot. 3/ SCRIPT. The agent then compiles everything into a player script, a loop that observes, decides, and throws, calling the MCP servers directly from Python with no model in the hot path. Round trips drop from 10 to 15 seconds down to something between 1 and 16 milliseconds. The loop runs at 23 Hz, about 0.75 seconds per throw, roughly 60x faster than the agent doing it turn by turn. The result is that it plays like a person, which you can see from the attached video. It tracks the rings, works out where each one is going, throws with whichever hand is free, moves out of the way of the obstacles, and does not wait around to see whether the last throw landed. Shipping settings, no difficulty edits, no health locks, no slow motion. It plays until it actually loses. The takeaway generalizes beyond games: an agent does not have to be the player. Even following the same rules as a player, it has too much latency between moves. Having the agent write the thing that acts bypasses that constraint entirely. Try it yourself: or explore the agent-created skill and scripts: Based on NeonReach VR by Dilmer, with no code changes. I only upgraded its Meta XR Core SDK to v205, which ships Meta XR Operator. Our blog post, Introducing Meta XR Operator: Close the Build-Test-Verify Loop for VR: Disclosure: I work at Meta. And this represents my own opinion. #XR #VR #AI #MetaQuest #Unity #GameDev

Reporter: Do you think you two can be role models for the younger actors? 🐨 Maybe… not yet 😅. I mean I can be a little bit of an acting example. But if it’s about real life… yeah no please don’t follow me 😭. 🐰 I think after seeing us in the dressing room earlier the juniors probably don’t trust us anymore 😂. It’s like “wow these two are pretty… pretty but kinda weird though” 🤣. 🐰 Even yesterday when we met P’Namtaan and Film, we were talking and since me and Lookmhee are super close right? Then I turned around and saw Film’s face like this 👉😐😳 Like “huh!?” she was probably confused why we talk like this. We joke around way too much 😂. Reporter: Because you two are funny 🤭. You’ll be funny in the third project too. 🐨 How do you know that!? 👀 Reporter: That must be what you two wanted, right? 🐨 After this? We’ll just be like this. Our real selves. One hundred percent. Full score ⭐. Reporter: If it’s one hundred percent… Won’t the whole show be funny? 🐨 Okay okay fifty percent then 🤣. Or else it’ll be too funny and no drama part left. Reporter: Probably no drama though. 🐰 I read it already and Sonya feels like there is drama 👀. 🐨 Hey hey don’t say too much 😭. Okay okay. 🐰 January twenty-eight, okay? Project three. She’s cool. She’s cooler ( 👉 Lookmhee 😌✨) Not many outfits. Not glam anymore. Just everyday vibe. Down to earth 🫶. Reporter: But Lookmhee and Sonya, being this funny… are you actually in character for the third project? 🐨 This isn’t the real me 🤣. I’m acting. I’m doing the character. 🐰 Yes yes. Character mode. Still acting 🎭. Reporter: Please promote your series. 🐨 Yes! Please support us on January twenty-eight 💗. 🐰 Yes! You’ll get to see the whole Change2561 lineup for next year. So many series coming. Not just Lookmhee Sonya — lots of juniors too. Next year Change is packed 💥. Reporter: Like which ones? (teasing them to spill the new shows) 🐰 Nope. I’m leaving 🚶‍♀️💨. Ending. There’s I Wanna Be Sup’tar, one project. And maybe another one fans are guessing… one more match… And then there will be— 🐰 Okay stop! I’m gonna accidentally say it 😭. I Wanna Be Sup’tar, please support it ✨. Reporter: She already said the title! (pretends to shout to the CEO) 😂 🐨 I didn’t say it! I didn’t!! 😭 (waving hands at the CEO like crazy👋) Oh my gosh I’m gripping this mic so tight. 🐰 P’Pear, you saw that right? Watch for it okay 😌. You’ll see. Okay we’re leaving now. Bye bye 💖👋 #ลูกหมีซอนญ่า #LMSY

Vincent's Tale - Sunflowers is out now! This one was a real labour of love, as some of you will know it wasn't easy creating these as half way through the process I had a huge health crash and had to go to mexico for a stem cell transplant, during one of the shoots for these episodes I had an autoimmune flare that left me temporarily blind in one eye, but with alot of rest and recovery and various treatments I was finally able to come back and finish them and we're finally here!! Creating these Tales allows me to be creative in ways that merges my favorite parts of film and music and im so excited to share this next installment with you . This first instalment is the prologue which sets the scene for the first chapter of the story to be told on the 31st of this month. I love bringing these stories and characters to life in the most immersive ways and the tales is such a fun space to do that. For parts of this will be back to the old bardcore style that some of you have come to know me from, and also taking it to some more unusual places too. Really proud of what we made here For everyone who is new, go check out the Tales of Jenny and screech, and get familiar with the previous story, and also search for 'Screechs tale instagram stories' as well as 'violets tale instagram stories' on youtube to check out the immersive world we built while we were realeasing them! IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK BABYYYYY Sunflowers out now!! #renmakesmusic #vincentstale #newmusic #storytelling #vincentvangogh #ukartist #sunflowers

251207 Mingi, TOKTOQ pop live, p-1: 🐥 Hello, this is Mingi. Yes, as ATEEZ we received three awards, and then our members Yunho and Hongjoongie-hyung each received two more, so we got about five in total. I’m so proud of Yunho and Hongjoongie-hyung, and honestly I didn’t expect us to receive this many awards, so it feels really amazing. 🐥 I even wore contact lenses for the first time in a while. How was the stage? Was it fun? (smth on japanese?) 💬 (eng) The performance was so good. 🐥 (eng) Thank you. (kor again) Thank you! So, you know back then, when I did the pop live, you said you wanted to see “Man On Fire,” so we prepared it together. Thank goodness (you liked it). In Chinese… (chinese) I love you. Thank you. I love you. Thank you. 🐥 (kor) Today on stage I got to watch many performances from many artists, so it was fun, and although everyone was memorable, there were some who especially stood out to me. The groups Nexz and Cortis were really cool. When I saw them at the beginning I thought, “Wow, they’re cool.” 💬 Mingi is the coolest. 🐥 Ah, I should be cool too. I’ll work harder. 💬 Wooyoungoe came too (on pop live) 🐥 Wooyoungie is going to come with Yeosangie. Yunho is live too? Right now - do you know why I turned this on? It’s because I’m right at the moment before removing my makeup, so I want to show you my pretty look while I still have makeup on. This is the perfect timing. I turned it on as soon as I came in because I figured the members would turn theirs on too. 🐥 We have another stage tomorrow. We’ll perform once more at the same venue. If today felt like an award-show vibe, tomorrow will feel more like the performance vibe that I’m good at. 🐥 Do you have any challenges you want to see again? The ‘Chanel’ challenge… but they already did it. I wanted to do it too, but the member already did it. (singing) “Love over hip-hop, money over love, now she’s forgotten me and left, and I don’t shed tears, I’ll just go make money.” Overdrive? The “woooong” one? Oh-ho. 🐥 These days I got double eyelids, right? Look, how is it? It goes all the way inside. It’s folding too much. My double eyelids… look. Lately I’ve been getting them. Don’t look at my lips - look here, up close (moves close to the camera). You see it? Ah, my eyes hurt. Did you make Mingi playlist? No, don’t capture this Mingi now. My eyes are kind of unfocused like this right now.

Video Gaussian Splats are one of the most wonderful things I've experienced in my last year in tech and XR. They are like having a real person in front of you and have the potential to bring people closer to their idols, or their distant family members, or to store immersive memories forever. Now that I have a Dell Pro Max Tower T2 PC with a powerful #NVIDIA graphics card, I have finally been able to try at home the "memories" offered by Gracia AI, and boy, I was amazed. In the PCVR version, you can really get close to the artists dancing and syncing, and in the frames where the recording doesn't have many artifacts, it is almost like having a real artist in front of you. And it is impressive that this technology works even when the singer is dancing with quick movements! But these recordings can be pretty huge (the one with McKenzi Brooke is 21GB!) and require a powerful computer, so now Gracia is also streaming these GS videos, and I was able to try the Amy May performance also on Quest! I have to say that quality-wise, even streamed, they are amazing. But there are more artifacts than in the PC version: I noticed that when I got close to the singer. But there is a huge advantage in having them on Quest: you can see them in mixed reality. It was like having the singer having a private performance for me in my house. Crazy cool! I'll keep experimenting with these performances and maybe write an article in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, let me know your impressions, too! #VirtualReality #technology #innovation (Disclaimer: I entered the #DellProPrecision ambassador program, so I was provided the PC from Dell, and I'm using it to make some experiments and share them with you. No monetary compensation or affiliate sales programs are involved.)

𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿: Because I almost always have some gear with me—a drone, a mirrorless camera, or at least a phone—I can capture scenes on the spur of the moment. Here I am freely flying through 3D Gaussian Splats scenes trained from these impromptu captures. It has been several years now since I've developed a real passion for 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and—for the last two and a half years—radiance fields. We actively use these technologies on a professional level at Dpt. , but this is also a personal passion of mine. I love capturing scenes, places, people, moments in time—memories. I enjoy the process of doing it; yes, capturing several hundreds of photos at a time, going in circles around a 'subject' for 15 minutes—all of which can drive my family nuts when they're with me. I have fun pre-processing, aligning, and using datasets to finally see those memories form and then be able to explore them freely in real-time. This week, Meta announced Hyperscape during this year's Meta Connect event… "𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘵𝘰𝘰. 𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦, 𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦—𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵 𝘏𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦." …it's exciting to see major players like Meta pushing the boundaries of immersive experiences. Their announcement of Hyperscape resonates deeply with the work I've been doing and my passion for capturing and recreating photorealistic environments and memories. It feels like we're all moving toward a future where the lines between the physical and digital worlds blur, allowing us to share spaces and moments in unprecedented ways. I'm thrilled to be contributing my own explorations to this ever-evolving field. The attached video is a screen recording of myself exploring and flying through volumetric captures—dormant memories—in real-time using an app I crafted for this purpose. The first part shows me moving from one memory to another (btw, this works in tethered VR), and in the second part of the video at , I explore two memories simultaneously, rendering two 3D Gaussian Splats of the same location onto two monitors. #gaussiansplatting #radiancefield #digitaltwin #hyperscape #memories

🐰: the issue of hate speech, hate trends, and things like that is something we’ve been facing quite heavily lately. It’s escalated to the point where there have even been threats. So of course, I worry about myself, and about everyone. 🐰: To be honest, what defines Keng and Namping has always been things like walking around freely, eating street noodles, living simply. But now, the more we try to be close to people, the more we start to worry. We start feeling uneasy, like maybe we can’t do things the same way anymore. We begin to think more carefully: if we go out to eat, should it be somewhere more private? If we meet people, should it be at times when there aren’t many others around? There’s a lot more to consider now, because we really don’t want anything bad to happen. 🐰: But we can never truly know someone’s intentions, whether they’re real or not. And if something were to actually happen one day, the people who would be hurt the most would be our parents, our fans, and ourselves. No matter who it is, we don’t want any artist to have to go through something like this. We don’t want this to be seen as something “normal.” 🐰: At this point, the company also feels that this has gone too far. It’s no longer just about protection, it’s becoming a legal matter. Because this is something we genuinely cannot accept. And honestly, it doesn’t only affect Namping; it affects other artists in the company too. There are issues like defamation and fake news as well. Right now, we’re taking this very seriously, because to be honest, it feels like I can’t handle it anymore. 👤: Is it still happening, or has it stopped? 🐰 I think it’s started to ease up a bit. The company is doing everything they can to protect us, working closely with the legal team to figure out what can be done. At this point, we actually have a pretty clear idea of who’s involved because these days, it’s very easy to trace. To be honest, we already know who posted what. But now, it has to go through the legal process first. And the company is really supporting and taking care of the artists. — KNP WITH MITH MONTRA #MITHxKengNamping
