You guys need to do something about these so called "CAS" pussies. Ain't nothing fun or cool about helpless tanks being raped to death in their own spawn cause bombing is so deathly easy. Bombs shouldn't fall in perfect lines they deviate just like tank shells!

How about you spend less time on BS mechanics (you got sabot separation SO wrong) and fix truly frustrating things like oversized hitboxes, shooting through solid objects (ground, trees, etc), and armor overlap. btw, Sabots are aluminum, veer off very quickly (try watching a video), and couldn't pen paper.

The Active Protection System (APS) of France's future CAPINT main battle tank is capable of countering Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS) rounds! 🛡️💥 During an interview with Military Machine Fr, a KNDS expert explained: "To counter the number one enemy of modern tanks—the APFSDS (kinetic energy penetrator/dart projectile)—which flies at incredible speeds up to 1,700 m/s, leaving less than a second of reaction time if fired from 2 km away, we integrated a brand-new defense technology in the black area above the front hull. It launches interceptor projectiles to directly impact and disrupt the incoming long-rod penetrator. This impact instantly alters the projectile’s flight attitude, forcing it to tilt, which drastically reduces its penetration capability. It can even snap or shatter it mid-air, ensuring the fragments strike the hull without causing any catastrophic internal behind-armor damage. It acts like an airborne protective barrier colliding with the penetrator." Sounds remarkably similar to Ukraine's "Zaslon" (Barrier) Active Protection System.

Quick test of the new damage model (and reason why I needed combat text for debugging). There is quite a lot to unpack, if you won't read this, I won't blame you. Armor penetration is now a thing, and AP/APHE projectiles can exist. A new module system is in place, module shapes and their hitzones are decoupled from hull parts. Hullparts (including parts in armor layers) can have a variable armor rating. Shooting at complex vehicles with APxx ammunition can now yield various results. Ranging from surface hits (white) to module/critical hits (red), Internal hits (penetrating through the hull layer but missing a module) are displayed in yellow. Piercing damage itself is cyan. Modules can now be destroyed, disabling or losing ability modules, defensive fields, or damaging propulsion systems can now happen. Destruction of some modules can also result in quite volatile reactions (we will take a look at that next time). Hence, understanding the layout of your target, its armor layers, and module positions can be greatly beneficial. Energy projectiles can mirror this behavior. The difference is that piercing damage from ballistic projectiles is always kinetic, while for energy projectiles, it's a percentage of their energy pattern. There is a bug in color of ricochet damage numbers, I am aware of it. #Precursor #pixelart #gamedev #indiegame
