Thought I'd take a look at the feedback with this one. Pretty basic — driver breaks law, puts me in danger. Expected: lots of support from other road users. Discovered: these comments are the reason cyclists wear helmets.

The bit I don't get: Drivers have to leave a huge gap for cyclists, but cyclists will undertake cars in any tiny gap. If the safe distance is 1.5 metres then cyclists shouldn't be allowed to squeeze through gaps that would bring them closer than 1.5 metres of a car.

Speaking of breaking the law, why didn’t you stop at the amber light?

Agree it's very dangerous driving and glad you're okay. Would it not have been safer for you to take prime position in the middle of the lane at the lights, so that he couldn't try to pass you until it was safe to do so?

I feel like many people here are are missing the point of your post…the utter foul and disgusting language and comments is just shocking, I’m utterly flabbergasted at the open insults from a video about road positioning, what is the world coming too?!
