Timothée Chalamet is going back to the #Oscars just one year after being nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown. Back-to-back Oscar nominations are rare, but to do it at Chalamet’s age is even more special. If he wins in March, it’ll elevate him to a historic group.

Why? For what reason?? Maybe I’m in denial but I still think if DiCaprio wins the BAFTA this weekend & SAG next weekend, he can still win the #Oscar. You guys know how strongly I feel about this- Leo should win Best Actor without question. He should already have multiple Oscars.

Yesterday I wrote that Timothée Chalamet should’ve won the #Oscar last year for A Complete Unknown. I put my head on the pillow last night & woke up this morning and realized how wrong I was. Colman Domingo moved mountains in Sing Sing last year. This man - not Chalamet, not Brody- deserved the award. Sing Sing deserves to be seen by many more people. If you haven’t had an opportunity to see this film, you should try to watch. I cried my ass off because this is a film that reminds us all that art & self expression can help save a person’s life. These are the sort of stories & performances that stay with you forever.

He’s commanding & charismatic as Hell in this film & he passes the torch to Tom Cruise. This was a performance worthy of an Academy Award.

This really disappoints me. I’m a self-proclaimed #Oscar historian & a die harder lover of cinema. Few actors ever in the last 100 years have done more for this art form than Leo. And he literally deserves to win the award- it’s not some sympathy nod. I just don’t get this.
