I just inspected the ongoing reconstruction of Sapele Road to assess the quality and progress of work firsthand. I am impressed by the standard of construction being delivered. With the quality of work currently being executed, this road is being built to serve our people for generations. The leadership of the Voxy Drivers Association has threatened to legally challenge the proposed ban on Toyato Voxy for long-distance commercial services. Some drivers expressed their disagreement, arguing that the rampant accidents are not due to the vehicles but rather the bad conditions of roads across the country and the issuance of driver licenses to unqualified drivers. Today, I flagged off the rehabilitation of key roads in Modakeke, including the Gbalefefe–Omi Igbin–Koola–Asabi Famia Road, Itasin–Famia Junction–Oke Bode, and the complete overlay of Mayfair Roundabout–Iraye–Ondo Road Junction. These projects are vital to improving connectivity, boosting economic activities, and enhancing daily life for our people. This intervention reflects our commitment to responding to the needs of our communities.
