🚨TODAY: Armed robber picks the wrong target in Orland Park, IL. A suspect pulled a gun on a man at a gas station, but the customer, a concealed carry holder, drew his firearm and shot him. The thief tried to flee but was caught by police and hospitalized.

Strange how attackers don’t like when you’re armed and defend yourself but when the government wants to disarm you is that going to make attackers stop?

I am not sure why this has to be said, but for the slow folks running the newsroom, I don't think its necessary to use the word alleged when you have video evidence of the crime.

He didn't shoot the "alleged suspect". He shot the criminal. An "alleged suspect" would be someone arrested later (had he escaped) that was suspected of being the criminal. A video of a crime being committed shows the criminal, not the "suspect".

I wonder how many criminals would still try if they knew the average Joe was more likely to be armed than not? IL gun laws are a huge barrier. It's ridiculous that people from out of state can't legally CC.
