Police Broke Down Door in Mistaken Identity Case in Baton Rouge Officers asked for Brooks’ name. He refused to answer and asked them to get off his property. The video shows officers following him, kicking open his door, and detaining him. Shortly after, the officers put Brooks in handcuffs. He said he then told officers his name, and that is when they realized they had the wrong person. “What took place was, you were mistaken for someone else. How is this even possible. This guy from Ohio is a registered predator. He "served" his time, paid his dues in the eyes of the judicial system. Somehow, he found a loophole and ended up starting and owning 2 businesses, get this, that revolved around CHILDREN. Play parks. Where groups of kids come for birthday parties, get togethers, etc... He and his attorney claim he is just a numbers guy, and is nowhere around the businesses, but I don't feel thats acceptable... The system is so messed up. The priority should be to protect all children, at any cost, always.

Officer Morgan Smith and Officer Karim Saoud were out reminding drivers to wear their seatbelts and stopped one driver who wasn’t wearing his. When our officers asked for his information, he gave them what turned out to be a fake name. When you don’t have a phone or wallet and can’t remember your social security number, that raises some red flags with our officers. Officer Smith and Officer Saoud quickly figured out that the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest from Bradford County. This traffic stop ended in a trip for our suspect to the Duval County jail. As they approached the vehicle, a frantic driver told Officer Brendan Fraser that their toddler wasn’t breathing. The child was blue and his eyes had rolled to the back of his head. Officer Fraser was able to render aid to the 18 month old child and remove liquid from his mouth enabling him to breathe again. The toddler was taken to the hospital and was later released. He’s now back home with his family. Officer Fraser has been nominated for an award for his calm demeanor and quick thinking while handling the incident. Praise be to God that this child is ok. What a roller coaster. 😳
