Today, I inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the historic Oba Market, which was tragically gutted by fire a few years ago. During my campaign, I made a solemn promise to the people of Edo that, if elected Governor, I would ensure this market is rebuilt. Today, I am glad to report that work is progressing steadily and according to plan. We are not just rebuilding — we are remodeling Oba Market into a modern facility with the look and feel of a shopping mall, befitting our great city and the hardworking traders who make it thrive. The joy and excitement on the faces of our people as they see this dream becoming a reality gives me great fulfillment. This hospital is a major step in our commitment to take development beyond the cities into communities that have long waited for greater government presence. When completed, it will not only improve healthcare delivery but also support medical training for students of Ambrose Alli University and stimulate economic growth in the area.
