Today I learned how to connect Cursor to Figma through the free MCP plugin. It's so dope! For example, It copied my existing designs and translated them to Spanish in minutes.

At this point, I have become lazy af. Figma connected to Cursor via my MCP and Opus 4.6 is designing a dashboard using Shadcn design system which is in the team library. So you chat in cursor, get designs in figma. Everything is designed according to your design system. Is this the dream of a designer?

I wrote a Cursor Figma MCP server to make it easier for AI copilots to implement designs. It's not perfect, but the resulting HTML and CSS is a lot cleaner than giving AI a screenshot and having it guess. Link in the replies, take it for a spin and let me know what you think!

The Figma MCP is insanely good. First time I used it felt like AGI. Feed designs to the MCP, done. It reads frames, components, variables, layout, and generates close to pixel perfect code. I one-shotted my design in this 150 second video with Devin.
