I can't trust these "sad animal being freed/rescued" videos, there's been too much fraud and you never know if they didn't get chained up/abandoned by the same people who record their rescue.

OMG how cute is this 2-week-old newborn baby elephant?!?!?! I'm visiting this great elephant sanctuary in Thailand and the cool thing is the mom of this baby elephant was rescued by Aaron of Planting Peace who helped coordinate my 2 Karmagawa birthday elephant rescues the past 2 weeks! Please retweet this and help me get the word out, DO NOT RIDE ELEPHANTS and do not visit "sanctuaries" that allow riding/bathing with elephants...go check out as they do a great job and are a REAL elephant sanctuary with dozens of rescued elephants and now a newborn baby of a rescued elephant too!

Things turned deadly when this elephant reached her breaking point 😔💔 Tyke’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of the horrors animals still face in circuses today.

Greetings on World Elephant Day 🐘 India is proudly a home to nearly 60% of the world's population of Asiatic elephants. Elephants in India are not just looked at in awe but also revered. Use of technology, like early warning systems and AI-based monitoring, along with training and community engagement, is helping reduce human-elephant conflict and encourage harmonious coexistence. This World Elephant Day, let us all renew our pledge to protect these majestic creatures and ensure their safe future.

Happy World Elephant Day!🐘 Asian elephants are intelligent, social animals that play a vital role in keeping forest ecosystems healthy. In the wild they face threats from habitat loss & conflict with people. That’s why the Zoo proudly partners with Bring The Elephant Home (BTEH)

Today I’m with the one and only Lek and her incredible Elephant Nature Park as this is the sanctuary that the elephant I’m rescuing for my birthday will soon live — no more riding, beating or starvation as this is Elephant heaven and there’s no animal cruelty/abuse allowed here!

Toshi's Daily Challenge: Elephant 🐘 Some elephants carry more than just their size. They remember every secret whispered in their presence. They walk with the weight of forgotten empires on their backs. They are no longer simple beasts. Show me what your elephant looks like. QT, Share, Meet up, Support

How in the world is this still happening in this day and age with all the knowledge that we have. Poor elephant. It is too heavy to pull and not something an elephant is built to do. Shame on you India

This is BETRAYAL. There is no jivdaya in wanting to tear elephant Madhuri away from medical care, a lush forest refuge and the only elephant friend she has ever known. Only cruelty. Nobody who truly cares for Madhuri would support this. #KeepMadhuriSafe Respected Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of Forest Ganesh Naik, please keep elephant Madhuri in much-needed retirement at Vantara. The temple can instead use a life-like mechanical elephant, offered by PETA India as a gift. #Madhuri #MadhuriElephant #Mahadevi #Elephants #Jungles #Animals #AnimalRights #PETAIndia

Once feared, chased, and hated, the elephants of Assam’s Hatikhuli now walk peacefully through farms — thanks to a simple, extraordinary idea: feed, don’t fight. Watch how 90-year-old conservationist Pradip Kumar Bhuyan, Binod Dulu Bora, and the community turned fear into friendship, planting food for elephants, mapping migration routes, and creating safe corridors. Today, over 300 elephants pass through Hatikhuli every year, and villagers thrive alongside them. Watch the full story, it’s nothing short of magical! #HatiBondhu #ElephantConservation #Assam #WorldElephantDay [Hatikhuli, World Elephant Day, elephant-friendly village, Wildlife, human-elephant coexistence, Hati Bondhu]

Around Assam’s Kaziranga National Park, a rare story of trust unfolds between a man and an elephant. Bipin Kashyap and Bhima share a bond that goes beyond care—it’s family. At 16, Bipin first connected with a lost, frightened elephant by offering it bananas, marking the start of his life’s journey. Today, he rescues and cares for injured and lost elephants. Bhima is one of them—but also like his own child. For Bipin, this isn’t just work—it’s purpose. On World Elephant Day, here is reminder that the strongest bonds are built on trust and compassion.
