Today I've launched the biggest-ever ULEZ scrappage scheme. £110million is available to support businesses, charities, Londoners on low incomes & disabled Londoners to replace their old, heavily polluting vehicles with greener options.

Maybe people like their old petrol and diesel cars and want one where it doesn’t rely on a lithium battery mined through child slave labour. Then again depends on what virtue you want to signal.

You Try to make out that you’ve done something good for London All you have done is taking money from motorists that cannot afford the extra charge

You would get far more support to the idea of scrapping the position of mayor. You have proved just how dangerous a chronically incapable and unsuitable charlatan like you can be in a position of authority. In the real world you wouldn’t be trusted to run a bath let alone London.

PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY A NEW CAR - WHAT PART OF THAT DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND? YOUR SCRAPPAGE SCHEME IS ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS! ELECTRIC VEHICLES ARE NOT GREEN IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM BECAUSE OF THE MINING, MANUFACTURING & DESTRUCTION OF THE BATTERIES #STOPULEZEXPANSION

But most people can't afford to replace their cars. Why should they anyway. Paying a tax to drive it doesn't reduce the emissions..... Or does it by some miracle. FFS khan you're nothing more than a failure. Resign now

The ULEZ is targeted on those who can least afford to make the change. Who wants to buy a second-hand diesel car? You are causing financial stress and misery to the poorest. Vile.

Or, just a thought, we keep the cars and vans but scrap the Mayor? Quicker. Cheaper. More popular. Will make London smell better. ‘Win-Win’ as far as I can see?

You've already scrapped over 15,000 vehicles. Plus, we have Congestion Charge, ULEZ and LTNs in place which are meant to improve air quality. So how can pollution levels be getting worse with all these expensive interventions in place? 1/2

Why dont you do a knife scrapping scheme?

Nothing the UK does will ever impact global emissions of C02. UK emissions are at levels they were at in 1830. In just a few weeks, China will emit more than Britain has done since that time. Aside from economic CATASTROPHE for #London, what + impact does this act achieve?
