In my opinion, if we wish to get knowledge, we have to have a problem. It has to be knowledge of something. We have to find out something. We don't have to wait for information to stream into us, but we have to be inquisitive if we want to get knowledge. If we were passive, we would gain a confused mass of sensations or something like that, which we would hardly be able to understand and to convert into what one may call knowledge. Quite apart from that, perception is not really, in my opinion, the main source of our knowledge. The role of perception is to inform us about a momentary situation in our environment. Just slightly over three weeks ago - 24 days to be precise, I presented the 2025 budget proposals to the joint session of the National Assembly themed, “2025 Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity” As I said to our Federal Legislators, we are building a Nigeria where peace reigns, opportunities abound, and every citizen can dream, work, and thrive in safety. We have to move forward, not as individuals but as one united nation, determined to rewrite our story for the generations to come. I hereby announce my resignation as Spokesperson and my withdrawal of membership from Puntland First. My time in Puntland has been a period of meaningful reflection and growth. Through this journey, I have come to a deeper understanding,Puntland is not a separate entity, nor does it pursue a path toward independence. It was never meant to stand apart, but rather to play a leading role in the reconstruction of Somalia anchored in unity, good governance, and national leadership. To truly achieve our shared aspirations—peace, stability, and progress—we must move forward together as one united Somalia 🇸🇴. The future we seek cannot be realised through division. My heart goes out to Charlie Kirk's family. This is a tragic shooting and from all appearances, it is an act of political violence. Political violence is on the rise and it is a sign of crisis and weakness in a democracy. I condemn all forms of political violence. We all must take responsibility for working to end it, to secure our democracy and to promote peace and strength in our nation and beyond.
