Today, NASA Solar System OSIRIS-REx mission officially comes to a close with the end of its sample analysis phase. From asteroid Bennu to Earth, the spacecraft traveled billions of miles, collected a historic sample and helped unlock new clues about the origins of our solar system.

But the spacecraft’s journey isn’t over. Now known as OSIRIS-APEX, it’s headed toward its next destination: asteroid Apophis, continuing a journey of exploration that began more than a decade ago. Learn more:
