Battlefield 6 open beta runs up to 55% better fps on PS5 Pro vs PS5 in performance mode, while also having "substantially better" image quality using PSSR and higher average resolution too. Meanwhile, Metal Gear Solid Delta runs fairly poor on both consoles. But while PS5 Pro's performance mode runs at PS5 quality settings, plus better GI too, embarrassingly it has worse overall framerate performance and worse image quality (though IQ is better in motion). Konami didn't even send Digital Foundry Series X/S codes, so that could be a doozy too lol. Has RT in all modes and perfomance is mostly stable even at 60fps, save for some egregious extremes where it can drop to the 30's, though 40fps and 30fps modes stay near locked. In the same game, you will have different looking outputs for every different upscaler because these AI models wont be trained on the same data. Grace in this case here, will look different on an Nvidia GPU using DLSS 5, she will look different using FSR, PSSR or XeSS. You get the point I don't why but I always felt that DLSS was always supposed to provide only one thing, give gamers a better framerate while retaining the same image quality as native resolution. I don't want a randomized output for a character's face that I won't recognize if I turn on DLSS 5 even if my framerate triples. Nvidia and all the game studios embracing this AI slop should take a step back in my opinion because this is not it, even if it is years away.
