Claude literally gave its users the power to create its own competition. They're probably not a fan of @openwork_ai. If you're open source and 4x faster than Cowork, and built it in 2 days at a hackathon, most likely using Opus 4.5 than you have just gained a new adversary(time to Acquihire I guess) I think Opus 4.5 is a double-edged sword for Anthropic both good and bad for business at the same time.

We just submitted our project to the OpenAI Developers WebMCP hackathon: The WebMCP Computer. WebMCP Computer is an operating system that lives inside the browser, with WebMCP as its native control layer. It is a computer that treats agents as first-class citizens, where files, processes, applications, windows, and the terminal are exposed directly through WebMCP. You can send anyone one URL that becomes a disposable computer for any agent task. We created a computer instance in ChatGPT Sites, open it with Codex’s in-app browser and try it here: Some examples of what you can do with WebMCP Computer: 1/ Give a coding agent a fresh computer to clone a repository, edit code, run tests, and preview the result. 2/ Let an agent inspect logs, manage processes, change configurations, and repair a broken system. 3/ Give a research agent its own workspace to browse, download files, analyze data, and create a report. 4/ Create reproducible environments for evaluating and comparing different agents. 5/ Let humans and agents work together in the same environment, with the agent using WebMCP and the human using the GUI. My agent is now paying for its own data. No API key. No account. No credit card. Check the video I recorded. This uses the x402 open protocol built by Coinbase, along with a simple skill. This is an open protocol governed by the Linux Foundation. To complete a goal, an agent can now search for an actor on the Apify Store, pay for it, and use it without any human intervention. The way it works is pretty simple: 1. Your agent finds an Actor it wants to use 2. It sends a request 3. The Actor sends back an HTTP 402 "Payment Required" response 4. Agent authorizes payment from a wallet in USDC on Base 5. The Actor runs 6. User receives the result The model is pay-as-you-go: the agent authorizes a spending ceiling, pays only for usage, and the remaining balance is automatically settled. This brings an entire marketplace of AI tools into the agentic economy. Here is the skill you need. Finally, a browser automation framework for Agents that actually works in production (open-source)! Typical browser automation tools like Selenium or Playwright require you to hard-code automation. These are brittle since one change in the website can disrupt the full workflow. On the other hand, high-level Agents like OpenAI Operator can be unpredictable in production. Stagehand is an open-source framework that bridges the gap between: - brittle traditional automation like Playwright, Selenium, etc. and - unpredictable full-agent solutions like OpenAI Operator. Hermes just made its in-app browser a whole lot more useful. You can now keep multiple browser tabs open inside Hermes Desktop instead of every new page replacing the one you were already using. And that matters more than it sounds. Because this is not just about “having tabs.” It means Hermes can work across multiple pages without forcing you to keep losing your place every time you open the next thing. Research one source, keep it open, open another tab, compare them side by side, and keep moving. Check a few products before buying something. Look at multiple hotel or travel options at once. Keep a YouTube tutorial open in one tab while Hermes looks through docs or another page in the next. And because this lives inside Hermes Desktop, you are not limited to one basic browser view either. You can keep multiple tabs open. You can view two pages side by side. You can stack them top and bottom. You can even run a four-panel view when you want several pages open at once. So the browser inside Hermes is starting to feel a lot more like a real workspace instead of one page you keep replacing. There is also some nice polish that comes with it. Browser tabs now label themselves based on the page, and the address bar behaves more cleanly while pages are loading. And remember, this is the same in-app browser Hermes can already read, click through, type in, scroll, and annotate. So this is not just a prettier browser. It is a more capable workspace for the browser Hermes is actually using. If Hermes is going to do more of your work on the web, this is exactly the kind of browser upgrade it needed.
