Today, another 205 of our warriors have returned home from Russian captivity. Our ability to bring our people back is the result of the bravery of our soldiers who skillfully fight and capture the occupiers. We must bring all our people home. I also held a Staff meeting, where one of the key topics was the protection of Ukraine’s skies — particularly, the downing of Shahed drones, including with the use of other drones. This is one of the most advanced technologies in modern warfare. The coming weeks are expected to be very active for Ukraine in diplomacy. We are planning new measures to increase pressure on Russia—to protect our people. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine.

The command posts of the “Kharkiv” Operational Tactical Group and the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Khartiia.” The commanders reported on the combat operations to defend the Kharkiv region, inflicted losses on the enemy, and the upcoming tasks for the liberation of Ukrainian cities and villages. Today, together with the First Lady of Ukraine, the speakers of parliaments, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, we honored the memory of our people whose lives, tragically, were taken by the occupiers. Russian war criminals must absolutely be held accountable for all of this — and today, the summit participants were unequivocal on that: Europe will not forget the moral conclusions drawn from this war. It cannot be allowed for Putin, other Russian criminals, and the Russian state itself to be absolved of responsibility. It is simply impossible to normalize what they did in Bucha, in Mariupol, and in so many other cities and villages. We will continue working to ensure that Russia is held accountable for this war — and that this accountability is tangible. I thank everyone around the world who is helping.

Today, our Ukrainian rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received vital reinforcement from the Republic of Latvia. These 16 new fire trucks strengthen our security and will help us withstand the destruction that the insane russian aggressor is bringing to our land. These vehicles will soon be deployed across Ukraine to extinguish fires, save lives, and provide assistance wherever russia attempts to destroy our peaceful way of life. We sincerely thank Latvia for this invaluable help, which once again proves that we are not alone in this fight. The civilized world is supporting us!

Today, our long-range sanctions reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan – roughly 800, 1,400, and 1,500 kilometers from the front line. They also reached the Voronezh region – about 300 kilometers from our border. I thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence agencies for their accuracy.
