New short course on Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback! RLHF is one of the key techniques that led to the rise of modern LLMs. It is used to align LLMs with human preferences, to make them more honest, helpful and harmless, by (i) learning a reward function that mimics human preferences, as expressed in human-provided labels, then, (ii) tuning an LLM to generate outputs that receive a high reward. In this course, taught by Nikita Namjoshi, Developer Advocate for GenAI at Google Cloud, you'll learn the details of how RLHF works, including how to apply it to tune an LLM for your own applications. You'll also use an open source library to tune a base LLM to align with human preferences expressed in a training set, and evaluate the tuned model by comparing its responses before and after RLHF-tuning. 🚨 New Open Source Release Today we are releasing Ego-OSCAR, an open-source head-mounted stereo-inertial capture device for egocentric data collection in the wild, together with a corresponding dataset of 550 hours captured across 100+ environments. Egocentric data is still an active research problem, and we believe an open and accessible foundation will empower everyone to participate, experiment, build, and contribute to this space. This continues our past efforts, where we open-sourced Stera, a full-stack capture and processing pipeline for RGB-D data. Ego-OSCAR builds on that lineage and offers a fully open-source stereo-inertial capture stack for anyone working on human-to-robot transfer. We make three core contributions today with Ego-OSCAR: 1. An open-hardware capture device with full CAD, wiring, and assembly documentation, with a complete bill of materials under USD 200 and using commercially available components and 3D-printed parts. 2. An open-source capture pipeline (recording daemon, IMU sampler, time-sync tooling, watchdog firmware). 3. The Ego-OSCAR-550h dataset, approximately 550 hours of egocentric stereo video per camera with synchronized IMU, released to validate the device at deployment scale. We previously shared our research on Layer Skip, an end-to-end solution for accelerating LLMs from researchers at Meta FAIR. It achieves this by executing a subset of an LLM’s layers and utilizing subsequent layers for verification and correction. We’re now releasing inference code and fine-tuned checkpoints for this work. Model weights on Hugging Face ➡️ More details ➡️ We hope that releasing this work will open up new areas of experimentation and innovative new research in optimization and interpretability.

We've spent years building LlamaParse into the most accurate document parser for production AI. Along the way, we learned a lot about what fast, lightweight parsing actually looks like under the hood. Today, we're open-sourcing a light-weight core of that tech as LiteParse 🦙 It's a CLI + TS-native library for layout-aware text parsing from PDFs, Office docs, and images. Local, zero Python dependencies, and built specifically for agents and LLM pipelines.
