Retired Colonel Ken Grundborg was unable to attend two graduation ceremonies at Georgia Tech due to active military service. Today, he walked across the stage at 88-years old. Grundborg earned his bachelor’s degree in 1960 and his master’s in 1966 — both in civil engineering. He missed his ceremony when the U.S. Army called him to serve his country. He spent 20 years with the Army Corps of Engineers, also serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, the Rangers, and the Pathfinders. He earned a Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, and Ranger Tab. Malik Heard got a big surprise when he was at his graduation at the University of West Georgia. His mom, Sgt. Eva Roby, who was deployed in Kosovo with the National Guard, surprised him after he received his diploma. Sgt. This ER doctor has an incredible story about a little girl that came in as a drowning patient . Her father was particularly distraught as he had had a drowning experience as a child . He was told by his grandparents to not swim in the river behind their home . He did and wound up almost drowning. His grandfather saved his life but lost his own . The little girls father blamed himself for that and was now feeling the same for his daughter . Luckily the daughter pulls through and tells a story that gave me the chills .

Japanese pianist Toshiko Akiyoshi performing “The Village” live in 1965. Akiyoshi’s Japanese heritage is distinctly present in her music and sets her compositions apart from other jazz musicians. She composed using Japanese themes, harmonies, and instruments (kotsuzumi, kakko, utai, tsugaru shamisen). But her music remained planted firmly in jazz, reflecting influences from Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, and Bud Powell. She was discovered by Oscar Peterson when he toured Japan. Peterson convinced his producer Norman Granz to record her, making her the first Japanese musician to be recorded by an American label. The album “Toshiko’s Piano” was released in 1954. That album and Peterson’s support led to an offer of a full scholarship at Berklee School of Music. Toshiko moved to Boston in 1956, and became the first Japanese student at Berklee. She has received fourteen Grammy Award nominations and was the first woman to win Best Arranger and Composer awards in Down Beat magazine’s annual Readers’ Poll.

According to media reports, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, did not attend the ceremony. He had reportedly wanted to take part in the farewell, but was advised by security services to stay out of public view. The funeral prayer was led by Ali Khamenei’s eldest son, Mostafa. Khamenei’s wife, daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, who were killed alongside him in the joint U.S.-Israeli strike on February 28, were also buried in Mashhad.

It looks to me like that guy was just protecting the lady with a backpack, when he was pepper sprayed at first. That is when he got tackled by the agents, and dragged back onto the street. Here it is zoomed in, and @ 50% speed. Much easier to see it this way. He clearly did not undertake any offensive action towards the agents at all. The most he did was to raise his left hand, protecting himself from the pepper spray. The lady with a back pack also seems to be getting back onto the street. but only because the guy was holding her by the hood of her jacket. So, when got pulled back onto the street, she also got pulled out with him.

WOW! Mary L Trump tells American Exchange that Trump's father (her grandfather) had Alzheimer's disease around the same age as Donald Trump is now, but he was much healthier than Donald is.
