Can you really say he deserves this nomination? I doubt it. No doubt, Ronwen Williams isn't just one of the first eleven among the South African AFCON players. He was the best among them. After leading 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 to the '𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧' the prior season, Richard Williams and company followed that up by winning the SEC Tournament in 1996, followed by their historic run to the '𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫' in the '96 NCAA Tournament. It's the only time in Mississippi history a basketball team has made it that deep in the postseason. He was the head coach at 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 for 12 seasons. And, the way you always keep the most important person for last, the fact that the apogee of his acceptance speech was about Connor.. he had me sobbing, cause of how completely unguarded and raw Hudson is here. The way the emotion is slowly building up, as he is going down that list, his voice cracking a bit, his hands shaking. And he can feel it slowly, tears forming in his eyes, tears he is holding in the best he can. As he is holding that award, so firmly, that last name on his list, the one that felt like an awakening. He is the one he'd want to hold right there (or rather be held 🥺). The one who is more than a scene partner, more than a best friend, his "emotional support person in life", his "soulmate", his anchor even. Cracking a joke or two to try to release a bit of pressure, but when comes the point of saying his name "to the honorary Canadian Connor Storrie, I share this award with you." and not find his face, his eyes, his smile in front of him, the absence is screaming in his chest and the tears are closer than ever. Cause to be here, and for that to happen not side by side, like everything they've experienced for the past year or so, this doesn't feel quite right. "A single person is missing for you, and the whole world is empty" So yes he got through that speech without crying (barely), but not without beautifully opening his heart up to us before, and showing just how much he loves him 💓

since this is clearly being twisted, he’s clearly not talking about the ‘2021 battle’ itself but about how lewis’ advice on being aggressive with max is easier to apply back then when it was just two fighting. cause if both went down, no one gained. but now with a third in the mix, it’s different and one mistake by both helps the third. he’s completely right and he still acknowledged lewis’ advice with genuine respect, something he doesn’t hand out lightly ESPECIALLY to someone whose advice he doesn’t truly believe in.

Infants use every tool in their toolbox to mimic their most trusted caregivers. This little one, shared to FB by Kristen Humphrey, is an amazing example. Listen to how close he comes to saying “I love you” back to his dad. How does he do it? The answer is using both sight and sound. Watch how carefully he’s studying his father’s face, using not only the cadence and sound of dad’s words but the subtle movements of his mouth to help inform his own try. And wow does he ever come close! This is how so much learning begins for infants: up close and face to face - which makes it particularly important that you carve out time to interact directly with your baby. Not just in proximity. Not in the presence of a screen. But eye to eye and face to face. It’s where the magic happens.

But when asked, lead referee James Williams was clear that the action met the criteria for a flagrant foul due to the nature of the contact: “Lu Dort was assessed a flagrant foul penalty 2 because we deemed his contact on Jokić to be unnecessary and excessive with a high potential for injury, and also because the contact led to an altercation that did not dissolve. So, by rule, a flagrant foul penalty 2 carries an automatic ejection.”

What a HUGE resume boosting win for No.13 UNG Baseball, defeating No.4 North Greenville 4-2. In a LOADED region like the Southeast, every quality win matters that much more for regional bids and this was a big one for the Nighthawks. Without any provocation, the suspect brazenly approached the victim and launched a violent attack, stabbing him in the neck before carjacking him and fleeing the scene. The patrol officers swiftly responded to the distress call and were confronted with a harrowing sight – the victim critically wounded and unresponsive. The patrol officers from the Westside immediately sprang into action, giving care to the victim prior to JFRDs arrival. These officers then worked diligently to ascertain the victim’s identity, Mr. Thomas Williams, and launch a thorough investigation into this act of violence. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the detectives from the Robbery Violent Crimes Unit joined forces with the patrol officers, committing themselves tirelessly to the task at hand. They collaborated relentlessly, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to identify the suspect. Meanwhile, as Mr. Williams was fighting for his life Detectives checked on him daily, slowly building trust with his family, as they came a steadfast source of comfort during this trying time. Rejected by his own mother right after birth, his only comfort is a plushie called “Oran Mama.” Caretakers come only to feed him and give him a little love, but most of the time he is completely alone no one to run to, no one to play with, just him trying to figure out everything by himself. In the wild, he would not have survived more than a few days unless adopted by other monkey mama. But here in the zoo, he is still alive and growing against all odds.
