1. Knee up 2. Kick out, strike with ball of foot, toes back 3. Pull back, knee up 4. Set leg down All kicks are 4 stage

You’re right. A proper kick is a 4-stage movement: chamber (knee up), extension, re-chamber, and recovery. Skipping stages reduces balance, control, and power.

and also, you use good footwork to take space... then strike to immobilize.

Dont forget to tell the John wicks, Jason stathams, JCVD's how many years u trained this, how easy ur hand break, how it hurts when u hit someone, how ineffective a hold/grapple is whe u dont hit "the point". Self defence is work over years, not watching a 10 sec video...

Ah yes, blocking kick with palm of his hand…

Takes years to get to that fluidity. But, you'd be amazed by the 2 blocks 1 hit with same hand. Naturally, no one thinks of that. Great examples

That first kick to send the guy flying reminded me of something my Hapkido instructor told me once: "There's nothing quite like becoming airborne against your will to show you your real place in the order of things."

i tried using the push kick on my closet door, and i was surprised on how loud and fast the door shuts my closet, nice

fast and natural! Excellence displayed
