Here is a video from when I got my Shelby electric incandescent light bulb from 1901 this is the same type of bulb as the centennial bulb which has been constantly burning since 1901 in Livermore California the filament in this bulb is made of carbon and it is 5 times thicker than modern filament. Hearing that the incandescent is about to be or already has been phased out because of inefficiency reminds me of this video and the Shelby light bulb these were made to last forever and a bulb that lasts forever will not be thrown away and the materials will still be in use vs a modern incandescent or light bulb where the materials are just thrown out never to be seen again. This guy is over it with all the unnecessary apps and “smart” everything. He bought a light bulb that wants him to download an app just to turn it on. Then he goes off about appliances that beep like they just landed on the moon, fridges with iPad screens, and how ridiculous passwords have gotten. He’s basically saying we’ve overcomplicated everything for no reason. A lot of people are feeling this way lately. Do you think we’ve gone too far with smart technology and apps, or do you like having everything connected? I think it's gotten out of control as well.

Beware, with allot of these newer cars that have the LED headlamps. Not only are they allot of work to remove, but the dealer doesn’t tell you that it’s not serviceable. Before, if a bulb went out, you could go and get one for less than $100 especially if you have the HID lights or halogen. With LED, you have to replace the whole headlamp if the light ever goes out. Would you pay the $1000-$5000 for a new headlamp or would you just say screw it, time to trade it in.

Elon Musk on local AI in Tesla Optimus: “Well, we think we can put a lot of intelligence locally in the robot and it certainly needs to be enough intelligence that if the robot gets disconnected, like if it's a bad cellular signal or there isn't Wi-Fi, you know, Optimus can't just get stuck. It needs to have enough local intelligence that it can still do useful things, even if it loses the connection, kind of like the car. The car does not need any cellular or Wi-Fi connection to be able to drive safely. Now, I guess you can think of like Optimus needs kind of a manager to tell it what to do, broadly speaking, like if otherwise it's going to keep doing the same thing it did before. so you know i think you need kind of a an orchestration ai which uh you know grok would be good for orchestration um and and then for you know for optimist's voice you know having um a low latency intelligent voice ai grok is actually very good for that so if you when I talk to Optimus and have kind of a you know, a Grok level conversation you kind of need to connect to a Grok level AI for that. But I would expect the amount of interaction apart from like the voice stuff and asking complicated questions of the robot that necessarily needs a large AI model to answer the Gronk would probably have about as much interaction with Optimus as a manager would have with the people on their team. “
