Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. We urge the Baloch and Pashtun people to join the protest as soon as possible and call on the judiciary to intervene in this matter to safeguard the right to peaceful assembly of these already victimized people.

International Community During the past days, the occupying forces of Iran, under the command of Khamenei, killed the peaceful uprising of our nation's children in the cities of Kermanshah, Lorestanat and Bakhtiari with direct fire. Today, in the brutal attack of the Islamic Republic troops on the peaceful march of the people of Malekshahi, Ilam, at least 7 young people of the Kurdish nation have died and dozens of people have been injured without access to hospitals. In addition to this, the government forces raid people's homes and have arbitrarily arrested dozens of people and made their fate unknown. While condoling the families of the victims and condemning this crime against humanity, I demand from President Trump, the heads of free countries and international organizations to take quick measures to prevent the killing of the people of Kurdistan, Lorestan and Bakhtiari, which have now become the focus of the uprising against the Islamic Republic. Our people in these areas need to implement the principle of “Responsibility to Protect” and establish a “No-Fly Zone” to be safe from massacre. And it is the state that has burdened them with this pain. The families protesting in Islamabad are being punished not for any crime, but for refusing to give up. For still daring to hope. Their lives have been shattered. Justice denied in courtrooms. Dreams torn apart. Every breath is a battle for dignity. The few who dared to speak for them have been thrown behind bars. Their families are being targeted. Harassment and intimidation are at their peak. Yet they still came to Islamabad….to protest, to resist, to be seen. And what did they face? Threats. Silence.
