Avocado waste, such as the pits and peels, can be transformed into biodegradable plastic through a process called biopolymerization. This process involves breaking down the organic compounds present in the waste and converting them into a polymer that can be used as a substitute for traditional plastic. The first step in this process is to extract the cellulose and lignin from the avocado waste. These components are then chemically treated to break them down into smaller molecules. Enzymes or bacteria can be used to assist in this process. Once the cellulose and lignin are broken down, they can be combined with other natural materials, such as starch or vegetable oils, to create a biodegradable plastic composite. This composite can be molded into various shapes and forms, similar to traditional plastic. The resulting biodegradable plastic made from avocado waste is not only eco-friendly but also has several advantages over conventional plastic. It is renewable, as avocado waste is a byproduct of the food industry and would

Good ideas! However, Americans don’t follow strict rules to sort trash like Japanese. You’d ended up wasting avocado meat just to produce plastic like utensils. It would be cost effective if you have the avocado manufacturer right next to this biodegradable plastic plant. 👇

The problem is they are not labeled as containing avocado at most places that use them. This has caused many people to go into anaphylaxis.
