Turning waste plastic into 3D-printed paving stones is changing how materials are used again ♻️

One of the coolest way of recycling waste

@ixj4y This is exactly what I thought before sharing, and we should do more.

20 hours per block to print? How is your electricity bill?

Doesn't stop microplastics, which these pavers will continuously release into the environment. We need to ban most single use plastics and hold producers responsible for the end life of their materials.

Yeah.... no. After doing that you need to put all that into another machine that makes filament with the plastic making sure it's the proper diameter all along.

Nossa... a IA está gerando cada vez mais vídeos muito convincentes!!!

All that from one yellow bottle! WOW! We must all be muppets!

This looks doable at the community level, which is the real win. Wonder how long those pavers hold up under heavy foot traffic though.

Good question. Of course, there should be a way to make them hold up, but seeing things that can be repurposed is amazing.

Certified AI shit

Plastic is plastic. Plastic should never be on gardens.

More dangerous. More Micro plastic contact to soil and skin.just ban plastics and use less to no.🌎🏕

AI

Dumbest video of the day. Each of those pavers will take days to print. He needs thousands of identical thick yellow bottles, he will pay hundreds for electricity and replacement 3d printers. Such project would take years.

Better to incinerate, those pavers will wear to become microplastics

$rave

I think we are better off letting the fungi eat the plastic and finding a better material.

Pela energia gasta na impressora isso não faz nenhum sentido, poderia usar o mesmo material para uma reciclagem normal, fazer a mesma peça

Legalising microplastics into our water stream either through percolation or weathering is really too dangerous.

Turn it into fuel. We have enough microplastics in our body.

How is that better? It was in the waste, now it's something kids step on, still on the ground, still in the environment....... not really a win.

. Only part of HDPE (polyethylene) and PET can be profitably recycled (<20%) from all 470 Mt/y 🤯🤯 🥲 of plastics (= 10 % of all World OIL ) . . 8 M/t year go to OCEAN ☠️😢🤬 . Best SECOND LIFE 🥰😍🤩 for ALL PLASTICS is INCINERATION into -> ENERGY 🔥🔥🔥🔥

@Hilbe

Those internet lies... Anyone who owns a 3D printer knows that the materials can destroy their printer, from humidity to the chemicals used.

This is brilliant. Plastic waste → filament → interlocking 3D-printed pavers that actually lock together like Lego. Not just recycling — it’s turning pollution into durable public infrastructure. Low-tech collection + desktop printing = scalable solution. We don’t need to wait for governments. This is how the circular economy actually wins. ♻️🔥

I literally have that specific printer in the basement and there's no way you could do that. It requires cylindrical filament. A thin strip of filament would neither fit nor feed properly. You can see the filament shape has changed in the printing segment of the video.

Lmao 🤣 so Fake

How much electricity is used to make 1 paver?

The tiniest spec of dirt will clog your print nozzle and 100 more problems will arise. Anyone with a 3D printer knows this is only phantasies and very hard to achieve. In the end, it's cheaper to just buy filament.

Alguien puede calcular el tiempo de impresión de cada bloque? Cuánto fue el gasto de energía eléctrica?

More damn plastic

Would it ☝️ withstand heat wave @grok

5 anos imprimindo

This is so thoughtful and creative. Well done man.

About 1,000 bottles of same colour and material needed ... (optimistically)

Amazing, now all the kids on the playground getting more exposure to microplastics
