Two former German lawmakers are on trial for allegedly accepting bribes from Azerbaijan to promote its interests at the Council of Europe. Axel Fischer and Eduard Lintner were implicated in the Azerbaijani Laundromat scheme uncovered by OCCRP in 2017.
