This A340-600F, (flown by Air Atlanta Icelandic for World Cargo), wasn’t built to haul freight. It started life as a passenger airliner. Airlines parked a lot of A340s in recent years. Four-engine passenger jets are expensive to run, and the twins replaced them. But the -600 has long range and a lot of space, and in cargo demand spikes, conversion became worthwhile. The conversions I found coverage of strip out the seats and fit fire suppression in the main cabin. Without a big side cargo door, crews load through the existing doors, with conveyors and rollers to move the freight.✈️
